Someone wrote this: I used to work on this show. The way it works is, Michael discusses what text the celeb is ok for him to send. Once they agree on the text, the celeb is asked to pick out 5 to 10 contacts, preferably celebrities, that they think would give a funny response. And the celeb can even contact the potential receiver of message before the show to prepare them, and help them to write a good response. So it's a funny premise, but ultimately completely planned and fake.

How on earth can "Send to All" be genuine??? The phone's owner knows in advance that they're going to be a guest on the show with their family/friends and that they're going to hand over their phone so it's a simple matter to fire off a message to their contacts in advance telling them to either ignore any strange/bizarre message on the date of their appearance. Their contacts can then ignore or pretend they don't know what's going on.
