on a rainy night, river eels come out and go over land/ground....we thought they were snakes at first....

Eels can survive out of water for around an hour. It's not uncommon to see eels on land, especially the freshwater kinds.

Interesting…. We were recording some videos in the western coast of Sri Lanka about rock crabs at beach rocks. But this is extraordinarily captured to their epitome standard. Amazing videography

I knew octopus could crawl in land, had no idea this eel could and now that I see how these crabs do their do, my sally lightfoot crab figurine I can look with new eyes on knowing what it can do by jumping. God I love animal documentaries. You learn so much. First it was Alexander Scourby narrating many years ago and now with Mr. Attenborough.

Those crabs look huge! Everything jumping😅 I wonder if these animal acquired these skills out of neccesity to survive! The Eel jumps out of the water to get its favorite snack, the crab jumps to avoid the water, and the octopus just nonchalantly just slithers on the rock for a snack😅 Just all so interesting, not to mention the amazing footage! Thank you for this nature view.
