Fun fact, this means there’s only one move in Terumi’s kit that can’t be used in a combo that ends in astral to my knowledge, that being screeches of the condemned. I really like that EA cancel too, I think it’s really cool, it’s a shame it doesn’t seem to work on most of the cast.

@@Lilio_ Although I wish Arc System works granted BlazBlue the combo freedom it gave Guilty Gear.
@Lilio_4 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I think that the combo freedom in BB is pretty fantastic in its own right. I'm pretty unfamiliar with GG, but if you're willing to do dumb shit BB has some really incredible combo potential. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmqyc3p_o512grM ^ this is an example Azrael combo video which I love, it turns an ordinarily relatively slow and clunky character into this absolute speed demon. The combos aren't optimal, and you'd never do most of them in a real match... but that's half the fun, I think, hahahah.

Never thought about using Astral that way! Most of the time it looks like I'm awkwardly tea bagging 3 times and pray it would land lol
@Lilio_5 жыл бұрын
Terumi's Astral is actually pretty easy to land, even in a normal match and without doing dumb shit like I do here. Almost all of Terumi's combos go through either 236D (Snake Bite) or 22C (Cleaving Fang), for example, and Astral will always connect straight off of those moves, so it's just a case of learning some simple combos with him, and then stapling Astral in the middle. Once you get a feel for how to play him it'll come naturally.
@Terumimi3 жыл бұрын
While i cant do any of the insane stuff, this is why i love terumi gameplay wise. His combos are total nonsense to the point where you can literally go drom 100 heat, to 0, back to 100 again just to end the combo with an astral.

So for the combo at 0:27, would it be possible to go into 632146D instead of the Astral if the opponent isnt about to die?
@Lilio_3 жыл бұрын
You're referring to the one against Susanoo, right? That should work, yes. In fact almost all of the combos in the video could replace astral with 632146D as far as I'm aware simply due to the fact they both cancel the same way and have fairly similar hitboxes for the purposes of comboing into them. But, that's less stylish than going for an Astral, so it's a last resort imo :P

looks like the astral combos off anything ending with a 236D, one of terumi's core moves. that's so fuckin gross
@Lilio_4 жыл бұрын
It also combos straight off of 5D and 2CC in almost literally any context. It's absolutely trivial to get an astral with Terumi, to be entirely honest, but considering he's an otherwise mediocre character and he's constantly throwing away meter in order to do any significant damage, I don't think it's too bad.

4:03 how did you cancel it
@Lilio_4 жыл бұрын
You can rapid cancel the first part of that super, since it initially only consumes 50 meter. You can’t cancel it once he lifts the opponent into the air and starts using more meter for extra attacks though.
@Veillyr4 жыл бұрын
@@Lilio_ nono i meant like how you cancel it at all :D (i play on keyboard)
@Lilio_4 жыл бұрын
If you mean the mechanic itself, you can do a "rapid cancel" by pressing A + B + C at the same time and consuming 50 meter. Almost any move in the game can be canceled like this, on hit or block, and once it activates it immediately puts you into a neutral stance where you can do whatever you want again (or nothing at all if you're so inclined). I'm pretty sure there's a tutorial for it in the game in the tutorial section, give that a go if what I've said isn't too clear. If you don't mean the mechanic, I'm not really sure what you're asking
