I see I'm not the only one who discovered that lol. But yeah, the Nightmare Edge follow up @ 1:03 is not really all that optimal and very finicky. Its also character specific as well. It doesn't work on everyone, but it does work on somewhat a good portion of cast.

Nineball757 Japan was mashing it all over twitter, the jankness/char specifics issues are probably why you don't see it (they actually knew about it as soon as 2.0 dropped in arcades)

I really wish the (2D Deadspike 6A 6D jBloodscythe 6C BS 5C 6A AirSeries) corner bnb was more optimal than the pre-existing (2D Deadspike 2C 5D[1]Gauntlet hades->5B5C jCjDjCjDNE) route, it's so much swaggier but it's only better if you're extending the combo with crushtrigger, or ending it with a super/OD, since the bulk of the latter combo's damage comes from the ending 5C jC jD jC jD, but if you tried to end it with 5D 22C you lost alot of damage

Yeah Ikr =(, bloody midscreen OD combo routes always seems more optimal with just hellsfang dc nightmareedge dc, as opposed to shit like 2D dc 3C 22C dc 665C which is far cooler

I can't see Belial Edge being useful as a combo ender as Nightmare Edge is.

Belial Edge is an extender. Nightmare Edge is a finisher. As much as Nightmare Edge has a cooler landing animation, you can't really compare the two moves function-wise imho
