The first one about the history of coffee is my favourite, as I also drink a cup of coffee every morning. I can't start my day without coffee. Not only is coffee my favourite, but also tea. ☕

The first part is all about the history of coffee shops. Drinking coffee is a habit and most of them get energy to work by having a coffee. I also like coffee but I drink once a day.5 new vocabulary they added in that part: 1.debate 2.consume 3.vibe 4.squatter 5.hog

Amazing compilation. Here's my list: - a debate - stimulating -to consume /consumption -vibe: atmosphere/the mood in a place. -a squatter: a squat --> an empty building - to hog: using something more than allowed selfishly. -tipping/to tip -to differ from -the norm: what's normal. - i.e. from Latin "id est" (that is..) in other words, eg: "I'd like to help some people with this, i.e., writing down a list of vocabulary from the whole video. - tacit: not spoken but it is understood - theoretically possible -pasty - agricultural labourers -mining - reminiscent -replicated -plonk: a cheap, low-quality wine - a connoisseur: like an expert in a specific field in this case wine - a sommelier: someone whose profession is to serve and give advice about wine in restaurants. - sheer: to emphasize the amount of something, nothing except --"this a sheer useful channel" -a palate: the ability to distinguish and judge the quality of something like food and drinks - to encode: change information into something different in a way you can use it or understand it. - resolutions: promises you make for the new year. -peer pressure - ingrained: something firmly held by a group that's very unlikely to be changed. -merchandise: goods we buy and sell. -hungover: the feeling of being ill after drinking too much alcohol. - permeating: to permeate basically means to spread from one place to another. Thanks, BBC for these amazing video chapters!

Love you... First newspaper was around the fire by stories. The coffe was inventend somewhere in Northafrika. I love coffes in fresh air. So I choose how to vote, the laaaast time... I remember with so much love about the Public Bibliothek with a café with newspapers for free but coffee by money. But! I learned in your country the religion is the pub! Love you.

6 Minute English is very popular program in BBC , I have one question, why '6 Minute' why not '6 Minutes' Everyone could help me to explain it. as I know 'minute' is noun countable noun. Really Thanks for it.
@bbclearningenglish
@bbclearningenglish Жыл бұрын
Because in this example '6-minute' comes before a noun and acts as an adjective so we don't add an 's'. Here are some other example - 'a 3-hour train journey' 'a 20-minute break' 'a two-week holiday'! Hope that helps :)
