I really appreciate how you keep having some minor changes in 6 Minute English program in the past year. Even I've been listening to it for a few years, I've never been bored. To repeat what the native speakers said in the program is a very witty way.

Any sports are awesome to do. I am not fan of football, but i think it can make people more interested on it. Honestly i got bored when i watched it. It happened because i'm not into the sport and don't have any ideas how to play football. For some people football is a life. I know some teams on footballs. When i was a kid, every classmates loved them a lot, especially boys did. For me football helps me to get flashbacks with childhood memories. I liked this video, thanks BBC team🙂

It seems to me that football becomes more and more commercial kind of sports, and a large number of supporters just like it due to famous players, glory clubs etc. It's hard to compare with old fans, they often naturally have been living with a loved club. So a stadium's atmosphere is changed too.

"You will never walk alone" is an interesting song fans of Liverpool use to sing in stadiums. I wonder if they will continue to support goalkeeper Karius after last saturday macht against Real Madrid.

Awesome video! please could you answer my question? When I was a kid, I used to watch American movies and tv shows, and rarely I would watch a British one like (Harry Potter) My problems are that my accent, vocabulary, and sense of humour is based on American English but I started watching your channel and visiting your site before 2 years ago and my English was influenced and I was fascinated by the British English (even my accent started to change a bit) My question: Is there any problem to mix between the two or should I stick with one (probably the british English)
@bbclearningenglish6 жыл бұрын
Hi Mohammed M Hilal. To be honest this is a difficult question to answer. Because of the internet and speed of communications these days, the mixing of different types of English - particularly British and American - is becoming more and more common place. Which one you choose to use is a personal choice and neither can be said to be better than the other - only which one suits you better. What is important is the correct use of vocabulary, formality and style in different situations - after all, we are sure you would not like to offend any one! As long as you feel you can communicate well and are able to be understood, everything is fine.
