I mean LCD soundsystem are basically carrying on the legacy of Talking Heads aren't it's pretty cool. And I'm someone who didn't really know of Talking Heads until I feel in love with LCD Soundsystem and looked into their influences... but my god. Talking heads are amazing!

Here's the lyrics in case any one needs them : Oh, I miss the kiss of treachery The shameless kiss of vanity The soft and the black and the velvety Up tight against the side of me And mouth and eyes and heart all bleed And run in thickening streams of greed As bit by bit it starts the need To just let go my party piece I miss the kiss of treachery The aching kiss before I feed The stench of a love for a younger meat And the sound that it makes when it cuts in deep The holding up on bended knees The addiction of duplicities As bit by bit it starts the need To just let go my party piece

Does anyone know what Gavin's name is now (very sorry for dead naming her) and how she is getting on. I know how hard it is being transgender not being famous. I hope she is very happy coz life is short and you need to be who you are. I come out three and a half years ago at 50 years old and it's the best thing I've ever done. lots of love to all Welsh Louise. Ps. this is my friends site but answers will get to me. Thanks..

Gavilán Rayna Russom is her name on Wiki :)
@clwireg9 ай бұрын
If I am not mistaken she left the group because of musical differences, her solo stuff is much different than the band's stuff and she got tired of organizers and concert goers expecting her to play LCD stuff at her solo shows

Kieran McCarthy I think they had to so the song didn't go too long. They also shortened certain sections of the song.
@mathewmathew2887 жыл бұрын
I really wish they would experiment a bit more. They literally sound exactly the same as they did 15 years ago
@z00ts00t777 жыл бұрын
Not exactly the same but is that necessarily a bad thing anyway?
@mathewmathew2887 жыл бұрын
mmmmm i think when you are a band more known for your sounds and productions rather than your songwriting then experimenting and changing your sound over the years is important.
@davidmitchell-baker17017 жыл бұрын
I'd argue that self-titled is indie rock, and then Sound of Silver is a mix of indie-dance/rock and then This Is Happening is much more dance, American Dream is much like of Sound of Silver in my mind (which is still their best album)

My god, why does 'Later...' always have this dreadful neutralising effect on any act that appears on the show? The show needs putting to sleep like TOTP. To quote Tony Parsons (or was it Paul Morely) "It would be a mercy killing." Compare and contrast: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWSxonp9ebRgaac

@MoogerTuber7 жыл бұрын
Overrated, pretentious crap, in my humble opinion. I really tried to get into it. The farewell show on Blu-Ray was alright, but still the music is sub par. This performance, they're so full of themselves. Tons of expensive gear on stage to little effect.
@lalfakzualahnamte20217 жыл бұрын
those tons of expensive gear onstage is what gives them that distinct sound that no other band today has....in my equally humble opinion :)

Why is it that popular, complicated things which people don't like are always called 'pretentious'? I don't think that word means what you think it means.
@okkcomputer7 жыл бұрын
aint crap, its an amazing band. but the gear is exagerated I think,, they could simplify a bit. seen them in london a couple of weeks ago and there was an aerial camera showing all the gear and I was like, WTF, my flat is smaller than that
