I sort of understand. At Manchester Arena it was a bit like that. Until the poppy songs were played majority of the crowd were bewildered. Seen them at Pilton in1990 and playing on Saturday at possibly the peak of popularity wasn't half as good as this. No auto tune or back up singer's or dancers etc. I wish they'd done a Pornography set, that would have really screwed with the audience! 😉

Yet so many still slag Jason off. He's a great drummer and I can't see who people would prefer? Boris is long gone and Lol was OK for simple stuff. Only thing I would say is Jason sound changed when he changed manufacturer. The other thing is, Robert decides on click tracks, gating etc. I personally hate Push when that awful gate crash is used but its Robert who decides ultimately. This Glastonbury was possibly the best ever live mix I've heard of the Cure since Concert Cure album which had no overdubs and used the old Manor Mobile for recording. Fantastic stuff.

I went to see The Crow in 1994 just to hear this song. I never thought they would play it live, then in 2013 they played it Live for the first time in New Orleans. I was lucky to see them play it on their 2016 tour of the US. Such a great song, and a great movie. What's interesting about the song is Robert was a fan of the comic book, The Crow, so when he was asked to do a song for the movie he wrote the song specifically for the movie. None of the other songs in the movie were specifically written for it. The soundtrack is killer nonetheless.
