Here's something I've noticed about Alex: whenever someone else is having a solo he retreats out of the way so they get the spotlight. I first noticed it with some Arctic Monkeys performances when Jamie Cook would have a guitar solo, and Alex would get out of the spotlight so the cameras could be on Jamie. That's actually a really classy thing to do.

Ironic how people hate on their moves and alter egos on stage, but then complain about the non-existence of ''rockstars''. If I were to see some normal people be still while playing, I might as well stay at home. This guys give the full package.

AT and MK work best together, just like Lennon and McCartney did. It's a fact, monkeys and MK solo is cool (esp liking the sound of Mile's new album) but together they make awesome fucking timeless music, esp on the 2nd album (one of my top 5 fav albums ever). Hoping they get back together for a third. Aviation is a masterpiece as are half the songs on the album, the rest are great.

Right, I'll tell you an anecdote. In 1974 I was catching the London train from Crewe station. It was very crowded; I found myself in a last-minute rush for the one remaining seat beside a tall, good-looking man with collar-length hair, it was the seventies; buckaroo! I looked up and saw it was none other than Peter Purves, it was the height of his Blue Peter career. He said, "You jammy bastard" and quick as a flash, I replied, "Don't be blue, Peter!" Needless to say, I had the last laugh, now fuck off!
