Zimbabwe's Mnangagwa: I was going to be eliminated - BBC News

Emmerson Mnangagwa, who thanked the crowd, for waiting for him for so long has said “the will of the people will always succeed”.
The voice of the people is the voice of God.
Today we are witnessing the beginning of a new unfolding democracy in our country
He has also thanked the speakers of parliament, the army and other officials who have helped him over the last week.
Robert Mugabe's successor then went on to address the state of the economy, saying all Zimbabweans needed to come together:
We want peace, we want jobs jobs jobs in our country."
This was greeted by a huge roar the crowd.
He went on to say Zimbabwe needed the corporation of Africa - to grow the economy.

@Kelvin Ademeso, if u dont understand the Zim constitution ask before commenting. Yes he was fired and so was the other vice president. The constitution of Zim clearly says that in the event that a president dies or resigns after serving 3 or more years of his term, the vice shall finish the term and if there is no vice, the ruling party shall nominate its desired candidate within 48 hrs and Zanu Pf nominated him. So what you are saying is very very misplaced and wrong. Do not be prejudicial, enquire knowledge first before you mislead people. Zim will have elections next year.
