Im not doubting Roman may have dodgy aspects to his business dealings. The problem i have with authorities continuing to try and establish a current connection between Roman and Putins inner circle is that at the peace talks. He was poisoned and nearly died. Also after having his assets frozen, he went to Israel not Russia to rebuild himself. Putin definitely saw him as a ally at one point but i dont believe from what has been reported especially since this war and supposed peace talks, Putin counts on Ambramovich as a friend or ally of Russia.

It was rough justice, many supported Putin as much or more & Abramavitch could hardly offend the guy! Basically he was treated like Fayed,- the British Establishment (The Men in Grey suits) were very territorial about business deals, with class & race factoring. Justification for forgetting his Covid community help, popularity & co-operation was encouraged from the start. A handful of Govt MP's resented his success. Sadly the BBC,once so respected, now tends to edit rather unreliably. His attempts to help western prisoners in Russia is not surprising. This was not our finest moment. He was kept outside a powerful UK clique but well liked nationally. The affair speaks volumes.

The story of British looting The story of British looting spans centuries, involving incidents like the colonization of various nations, exploitation of resources, and acquisition of artifacts and treasures from different cultures. Historical events like the British Empire's expansion, particularly during the colonial era, often involved appropriation of wealth and resources from colonies worldwide, including India, Africa, and parts of Asia. The British Empire's practice of looting extended to seizing valuable items, art, cultural artifacts, and even natural resources from colonies, sometimes through force or coercion. Notable instances include the looting of treasures during the colonization of India, such as the Koh-i-Noor diamond and other valuable artifacts. Additionally, during the Victorian era, there was significant interest in collecting and displaying items from various cultures in museums, which sometimes involved acquiring objects through questionable means. Efforts to repatriate some of these looted artifacts to their countries of origin have gained momentum in recent years, with demands for the return of stolen cultural heritage items to their rightful places. These discussions often touch upon the ethics and legacy of colonial looting and its impact on the affected cultures and societies
