Man, i missed this version of Hazama... When Terumi was still in charge... Hearing his voice going bat shit crazy in the entire match... In Cf now he is only Hazama, a completely different being, on not the vessel of Terumi.. Character development, sure, but this was super sick too. Last but not least, those combos tho.

Honestly, pre-CP Blazblue in general just hits different. There's a feel to the games in their earlier releases that isnt really around anymore.
@tase76023 жыл бұрын
There's some truth to that, although the main issue is that the games before CF2 had very silly balancing

They did in fact have a very different feel. The feel of kusoge
@xRevolverServbot3 жыл бұрын
@@tase7602 Yeah, no doubt. I'm well aware of how Arakune, for instance, was in CT. It was very rough, competitively, and that's why I refrained from saying that early Blazblue held a net superiority over the latter end of the C-series. Hell, it didn't even seem like anyone on Team Blue knew what to do with my main until CF/CF2.
@xRevolverServbot3 жыл бұрын
@@turbobacon5479 I'm not saying this under the assumption you think otherwise, but you can have a good time with kusoge lol Outside of gameplay, the aesthetic and music were the beginning half of BlazBlue's forte. Outside of new additions from CP and CFs roster, there aren't many times in which the "II" themes do much to improve on their predecessors. They go for a different style, but aside from entirely new segments, it comes at the cost of things that made the original themes so great. It comes across as homogenized at certain points, and extraneous to the relatively simple original tracks. I'd be willing to go into further detail about that, but I'm losing brevity on the issue. Another thing to be missed was how characters had their own dedicated VN-like route in story mode instead of a convergence into chapters. The crazy thing is that Mori's main attempt with the now twice sunken ship of Dark War was expand upon characters who didnt get much screentime in the fighting games -- a problem that would've been solved had Team Blue kept the format that they had before ChronoPhantasma.

I in no way mean by calling it Kusoge that it's not enjoyable in it's own right, lol

Didn't know Hazama had loops not to mention staircase combos on top of it, sure I read of them on dustloop but to see it in action looks insane compared to CF. And is that stance-less Rising Fang a frame-1 dp for him?
@hazzydahaka132 жыл бұрын
Nope it's not. Sure it was (and still is) frame 1 invul, it was still locked behind stance. He just didn't have to wait before he could use stance moves pre-CF, meaning he could use the stance move after like only 2 frames minimum of actually inputting stance. Unlimited Hazama on the other hand...

@@hazzydahaka13 Meaning if you're fast enough it might just work as a reversal dp?
@hazzydahaka132 жыл бұрын
@@leonsim9159 Nope. Even then, it's at best a 2 frame "reversal". Though he did have Houtenjin for reversals. It was actually frame 1 invul normally even without OD (since it didn't exist yet in CS) and it even Fatal Counters too.
@leonsim91592 жыл бұрын
@@hazzydahaka13 Well alright, my definition of a reversal dp is within a 5f window since, even with Houtenjin which it isn't invincible in CF, I can still catch people mashing just from reading their habits
