Wait -- what? What have I missed? Why aren't the behind the scenes stuff exciting? I haven't seen the new Unleashed series, but this sounds really exciting to me. Actually, I've been rewatching DW: Confidential recently. Edit: I immediately searched for DW: Unleashed and saw Russell talking about Davros. I'm presuming this is what you're referring to. It's extremely saddening to see, but it doesn't spoil my excitement of seeing other behind-the-scenes filming of the specials and new season.

I am physically disabled and I have been doing advocay work for the disabled for 15 years and I don't nor does anyone have a problem with the classic look of Davros. Who was complaining about this because I haven't seen anyone in the past raise this as an issue. This is what virtue signalling truly is. Making a big splash about being virtuous on a topic no one had a problem with. Davies has turned Davros into just another scientist. He's taken away everything that made him look unique and now they're going to have to come up with some excuse going forward to explain why he doesn't look like he did anymore. So do we have to ban Two-Face now as well? Is it still okay for Doom Patrol to have The Chief in it? Do we have to erase Star Trek VI because the Klingon is blind in one eye? Disabled people are not fragile nor are we stupid. We can distinguish between reality and fantasy. I hope the next showrunner fixes this.

Hey. First if all, than you for all of the work you've done so far. Then...I think they showed Davros here that way, because it's waaaay back in the past right when he created the Dalek. Maybe back then he was not yet disabled and only became it later?

@@lhuras.No Davies has said this is how Davros will look going forward because he claims the traditional look of Davros is insulting to disabled people. It reminds me of that Family Guy episode with the down syndrome girl when Sarah Palin trashed them for it and then the actor who played the character who has down syndrome came out and told her to back off and that she never asked for Palin to be her crusader. Thats how I feel about this. We never had a problem with Davros, we never asked for this to be an issue and it makes it look like we're fragile and can't handle watching a TV show.

the change wasn't made so that disabled people wouldn't be offended - it was made so that kids growing up on this stuff from different perceptions to the age old tropes of disfigurement and disability being shorthand for twisted or evil moral character

​@@unscreened But no one asked for that. And there are plenty of positive representations of disabled people in media. I don't think anyone is going to tease a disabled kid at recess because the character of Davros exists.

Does the Tardis go from one set to another set? or is it just an actual little box with photos on the wall for a longer distance shot of him coming out?

The TARDIS for outside shots is just the blue box, most of the time with green screen put up inside. For this shot it looks like they have the inside of Thirteen's TARDIS as a wallpaper put up. So I imagine it could get quite cramped in there if there's more than one person inside. For inside shots they have a different set.

They appeared 5 times after pertwee finished so I mean nearly 15 years and 5 dalek stories they weren't overused. regarding new who, I'm pretty sure they have to appear even if it's for 5 seconds cause of a contract with Terry nations family as the BBC do not own the rights to the daleks. Imo they're fine being used as they are a fantastic villain but they get used for bad stories in new who way too much. Especially in recent stories.
