I just picked this up today at salvation army! I paid 3.99 for it! I seen it and I was like damn that is a sweet apache and looked valuable. I love it.

Was looking for a vid to see what it looks like before I met up with someone off offer up. Got 2 of these for $60. 12/20/18. Ebay it's like $160.

My only gripe is that for such outstanding detail. The pitch links are on top of the rotor head. They should be underneath.

I know that this is an old review but you forgot to mention the licensed version made in Japan by Fuji of the Apache for the Japanese Self Defense Force. They also have the licensed version of the Longbow.

Do you think that BBI Elite Force will ever give us a USAF F-15 Eagle and/or even an USAF F-22 Raptor toy (s)? Or an A-10 Warthog attack aircraft?

I have a question about this model. Do you think its to big for the 3 3/4 figures? Because I have the same model but to me it so big. I have gi joes too but is the helicopter really that big to compared to real life? Please let me know what you think. Thank u..

You seem to enjoy your Apache. You also seem to know alot about the 1:18 scale models. Maybe u can answer this for me. Bbi elite force came out with, its limited edition of the Blackhawk, the hornet, the falcon, the phantom, and the me-109. Why not the apache. The only helicopter that I’m missing. Can u answer me that.

They only brought out the blackhawk Nightraid, f18 hornet Sidewinder, f16 falcon Endurance, there was never a f4 Phantom in 1/18 released only 1/32 by BBI. As for why no Apache or littlebird, Kiowa or any of the other items, I guess Sunnyside toys didn't buy or have the rights to reproduce them as the original and best BBI went out of business back in 2002. The current BBI items are getting smaller and some are not true 1/18😭

Excellent review of an awesome piece. I have a question for you and I'm hoping you have the answer or can direct me to a site. I have and have had one of these bought new many years ago. I need to take it apart but can't get the rear tail section separated from the front of the fuselage. It will begin to separate on one side about 3mm or so then that's about as far as I can get it to go. I do not want to break it so I do not push any further. Do you know how to disassemble the tail boom section from the front part of the fuselage? Is there a trick to it or?

Unfortunately, after many failed attempts, I was unable to disconnect the tail section. This is something that I've actually been struggling with for many years. Part of the problem is that I bought this chopper loose, with the tail section already attached. Thus, how it was attached when taken out of the box is a mystery to me. :/

Hey there, Great Channel!!! The tail sections on the bbi helicopters are connected with some built in flexing clips I would call them. I would try gently heating the connecting area of the tail section with a hair dryer, perhaps that would loosen it and give it enough flex to pull it apart. You should not have to heat it too much, and when it cools it will be rigid and ready to snap into place again.
