Senator Ledama is hands-down a visionary, I don't have any doubt about that. He can deliver a Kenya where businesses can thrive. He can deliver a Kenya where youth from poor backgrounds can start businesses without being oppressed by unnecessary legal requirements(KRA,.. and the likes). He can purge bureaucracy. He can DELIVER ALL THAT HE PROMISES, this is why I love and dislike him at the same time. I use the term dislike, because from his tweets and even from this interview, he sounds as if he hates the people from central Kenya with passion. It is a deep rooted heart issue. He can deliver a GENOCIDE. He is charismatic and can easily influence the Maasai community against the Kikuyu community. TBH 2017 WAS REALLY UGLY. Yes, there have been historical injustices perpetrated by some national leaders from the kikuyu tribe, but why direct all that bitterness to an entire tribe. If he wants millennial votes, he really needs to stop tribal hatred. Let him direct that anger to the specific households that robbed Kenya, not entire an tribe. I am deeply disturbed by people who really think an entire tribe robs Kenya! Deeply! Tribe is not a currency. He needs to wage war on nepotism(on families awarding unqualified family members public tenders), that is where the rot is at, because a Kikuyu dude at Muranga doesn''t live any lavish than a Maasai dude in Kajiado.

Very good interview host, glad you did not fall for his offer of alcohol and insisted on milk. Much respect. Olekina has very good ideas but he needs to work on his tribalistic attitude before he can become a national leader. A president is one. who unites not divides and isolates. He will die a Masai first who does not mind indulging in Western culture and good life, it is his prerogative! Unfortunately he wants to be the President and thats his achilles heel.

That's precisely what's wrong. If that's the case then there is no need for a central govt. Let every person be a govt into himself. @@a.muchemi4360 Let's not quote Ledama out of context. He didn't say that all infrastructural development that needs to be done in former Central Province has been done. He is saying that BBI will entrench the inequitable allocation of resources that gave rise to constitutional interventions in 2010. The formula for revenue allocation has shifted and it is ignoring some parameters that ought not be ignored. The recent debate in the Senate brought it all out. BBI has retrenched it. Central Province is an example, but it is known that if that formula continues to be applied then some counties will gain significantly while others will lose.

The contentious issue is why Kiambu gets the lion share (30%) of the extra seats which translates to more money to UKs backyard - In the proposals explained by the BBI taskforce secretariat to the leadership of Parliament on Thursday at Windsor Club, Kiambu County will get 21 new MPs should the proposals sail through. The technical team picked by Uhuru and Raila to advise on changes that require policy, ordinary legislation or an amendment to the Constitution, told the meeting that the extra seats will effectively cure under-representation. In the proposal by the secretariat, Nairobi gets 11, Mombasa gets 9 while Kilifi has 4 of the 70 new seats. In the breakdown, Meru would get 2, Kirinyaga 2, Nakuru 2, Nyeri 1, Kakamega 2, Nandi 2, Kericho 2, Vihiga 1, Kajiado 2, Kitui 2, Makueni 1, Uasin Gishu 1, Nyandarua 1, Laikipia 1, Embu 1 and Kisii 1.
