When you get older Bebe did good too = style + different sets = that Yoga Flex moves started way back in the 80's... you watch them old battle you see similar moves nothing crazy yet... just Yoga got super popular in the 90's due to marketing and Bboy start using their style "moves" just like how old school BBoy watch Kung Fu and start picking up a few tricks watching Wu Tang... The Brain see stuff visual from print or visual and try to be creative ... The Russian Kick is similar which was a "culture dance" then Disco borrow it by another culture which help share the "Kazotsky kick" to the USA which then use into the "Street Parties" with a mix of Kung Fu... Then the BBOY "Hiphop" appear staring the "Footwork" then the Media call it "Breakdance" ...

Here's the thing. I use to break with ground zero, flipside, this was all pre-99 shit. Ground Zero didn't start getting fame till after 2000 when they started battling everyone. Benji had just came from france to compete in Pro Am and that was the first time benji saw ground zero or skill methodz or flip side and vice versa. Benji came with that flexible style shit but he did more routines with props and gimmicks. Benji never bit anything from exuberant even though as soon as zoob saw benji doing flexible shit he immediately called him a biter for having a flexible style. That's the only shit they had in common. Flexibility. And back then ground zero called everyone biters no matter what they did. I mean back then when rubber legz was coming up they called him a biter too just cuz he could do flexible shit. If you're flexible and there are other people who are flexible who start bboying.... certain moves will be repeated but its not due to a lack in creativity. If you can put your leg behind your head... how long before you try doing footwork with it? How long before you do a freeze on your forearm with it? how long before you do a flare with it, or do a halo with it, a turtle, etc?? I use to semi-argue with zoob about this hanging out. I would ask him exactly "what" did anyone bite from him aside from doing yoga shit while breaking? He could never answer and just say that he started the style.

Years down the line, I've seen a lot of phases. At that time, Benji was considered good and many were seeking to claim the invention of that style. It's hard to say who did it first. Honestly I think Roland from Head Hunters and a few guys from SoCal did it better than Benji at that time and since, guys like Fanatic and Rubberlegz took it further. So watching this for the Nostalgia, it's interesting to see the crowd response and standards + the hype that was sold. Also Bebe was calling him a biter in reference to his brother Xoob. The DSD1 brother's vs the Ground Zero brother's would have been a much doper battle honestly.
