Channel Nine cricket legend Richie Benaud is apparently having a BBQ at his house on Australia day, but despite a long invite list there will be no "12th Man"

A great man in more ways then one. The iconic Ritchie Benaud. You gave so much of your wonderful life to cricket and never had anything bad to say about any person. Head off to that great cricket oval and say "Hi" to Tony Greig if you see him. R.I.P

Welcome back to BBQ, well wasn't that just a really super preheat of the grill and hotplate that we all just witnessed during that session. The piezo, following a jittery first couple of clicks, really did knuckle down and explosively ignited on that third delivery from the right hand quick index finger. From there the gas was simply on fire and unbeatable. And boy, wasn't it a flowing and fluid display, one for the ages really. It provided marvelous support to the cooking elements, all who where red hot and simply never looked like going out once they reached degress 222. Whilst there's still some time to go at this BBQ, I must say, so far, it's looking to be an inspired decision by the captain here, yours truly. The beer and wine is ice cold, weather wise it's simply perfect conditions for the growth of skin cancers and most importantly the beaches are looking absolutely f**ng marvelous bathing and relaxing by the pool. And boy oh boy, haven't they been throwing Master Richie the good old, 'come here daddy and do as you please with me' look. We'll be back to the BBQ following this quick break.

@davidedwards33619 жыл бұрын
Why am I an idiot? Because I put more value in actual work than I do in sport? If all the sport in the world was to stop, what would happen? Now, if all the hospitals in the world closed, what would happen? Sport isn't that important now, is it. So is that an idiotic statement, or is yours.

I get everyone else, but who was the guy on the beach? Also interesting about Bradman - wonder if there were some legal issues with allowing him to be portrayed.
@juliem833910 жыл бұрын
It's not a beach, it's inland Australia a place called Cooper Creek. The two men are Burke and Wills, explorers in the 1860's, who died on the return journey of an expedition from Melbourne to the Gulf of Carpentaria. They would have loved a barbie at Richies!
@timbowilderbeeste870910 жыл бұрын
no, I know well who Burke and Wills were - I've even been to Cooper's Creek. I'm talking about the guy strolling along on a beach putting a jacket on.
@timbowilderbeeste870910 жыл бұрын
it's about the 1 minute mark, where he arrives on a jet ski and starts walking along the beach.
