Hey, please let me know do you need to record MIDI and move to DAW or just record Audio ? If you need to separate beats from solo part and capture audio only - I make a trick with mixer and set style to LEFT balance and VOICE to right balance, thanks to this I have stereo file and in DAW I split stereo into 2 mono. Yes, just like I have already answered below other video: DGX 670 has USB MIDI connectivity : By connecting a computer to the [USB TO HOST] terminal, you can transfer MIDI data or Audio data between the instrument and the computer.

How do i use the channel 5 and onwards in recording. In my keyboard if i press channel t to 8. Only multi pad 1 to 4 is recognize. I want to use Right 1 to be part of recording on other channels

In this moment where the selection is shown at 21:03 in the video (after pressing REC+Channel number) - use main - biggest knob to select to different source. It could show it on this video at 21:03 because I haven't my super steady mount - while recording those video. IF you have problems still I can remake this videos with proper explanation. Yes you can use sustain pedal to partialy re-record a channel part , here is the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIjHXqdpjrmepqM for the second part - do I understand that you have recorded different tempos in your song ? - Please give more details. As far as know in this Yamaha you can have only one tempo and time measure per song (saved in MIDI song file) inherited from style, it could be also altered and saved again. Please describe the final effect I will try to recreate it and make a video about it. Regards

Hi You need to use another channel for base line, witch same voice if you like. There is no way to make "overdub" in same channel. You can only make punch-in punch-out but this is more useful to fixing mistakes in recording. You have 16 channel so no worry about capacity. This is really strange for Yamaha psr s970 where Roland xp80 or 60 has a good option about editing on the same pattern or track.. I guess Yamaha has to sort this issue.. Also if you create a drum pattern on psr it automatically loops instead of a bar pattern ..your last tutorial u made for me was really good ..but can u make a drum pattern without loop ..so I can copy the pattern as I desire ..for example I create a drum pattern on tack 10 Juz for 2bars then I want to copy till 100 measure .. can it be possible ? I used to do on Roland xp 80 very Simple n easy ..but on Yamaha bit complicated..🎸

@@susanfernnades4335 You are right. I watched some videos about Roland Fantom editing and the interface was much more easy to use. In Yamaha case (with the drums you ask for) you only can the same thing like i done with strings (recorded after piano) where I was copying them to clipboard and paste at desired bar number: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnzFaYRjos6CjLM but remember it is about SONG creator not STYLE creator - in Style creator everything is loop. You can however mute drum channel in real time if you like. Hello there thank you for your comment. unfortunately one of the big disadvantage of this model is a lack of step sequencer. so the only way to fix a partially recorded track is to use the punch in method which I am describing in this movie kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIjHXqdpjrmepqM Regards

Great videos. Question: Can I make a style using a MIDI file? The song has two types of rhythm, one in the introduction and another for the rest of the song. It has a particular drum beat so I cannot copy the drums from another style.

I would like to connect my Yamaha PSR-670 with a Drum Composer over MIdi seperatly, so that both devices synchronously run. My Drum Composewr has only 5 pole Midi jacks. My keyboard has only USB port. Do I need an adapter?

Yes you need it. Old style MIDI devices has "harware" MIDI ports (5 pin din for IN and same for OUT) . To be honest I haven;t tiried such configuration . My old Yamha YPT-220 has DIN midi port so it is worh testing. However - have you considered using PC laptop and AISO drivers for MIDI recodring from 2 sources at once ?
