I grew up in the housing development that was being built in this report. I can't begin to imagine how big a contrast my life growing up there was to the lives of those who had been living there 15 years earlier. Thanks for posting!

Rest in Peace Fitz, he was the second guy interviewed in this doc, I went to his celebration of life in 2017, he had remained clean and sober for over 30 years and helped a lot of men/women recover from addiction, I hadn't done time with Fitzy, but I had a few coffees with him out in the world, he was a real gentleman.

In Haney Correctional (ages 16 to 19, solitary was far more draconian; a 6x8 cell with no light, no view through steel door, and no mattress. For night only, a blanket; for meals, 8 slices of bread and a steel cup of water twice a day, though every third day a regular meal was provided. A different era, unlike the wimpy jails now commonplace.
