Is it just me are do the springs on the coilovers look so much smaller than the stock?

That's what coils are lol, ur lowering your car. Its smaller, but stiffer so u dont bottom out. Higher end coils have adjustable dampers too which can sometimes fix if the rides too harsh for the street. Most people that get those track their car.
