Honest review. I think either it was done on purpose but somethings weren’t quite adding up. Its either because theres a back story that needs a part 2 to connect the dots or there wasn’t enough time given to expand on each scene. For example - im still not entirely sure who those 3 who went after trav work for…the guy who supplied trav or some next person. 2 - did the girl set up trav? whats with the reference to vilz giving her money? 3 - whats with the whole thing with vilz anyway? why give trsv food and then proceed to rob him after? again didn’t really get it. These days i kinda ignore the whole “visuals look great” because in todays age lets face it, iphone camera and a gimbal can make cinematic scenes. I personally really like song choices, they are very good choices for a movie, mixing was done to a top level you can tell. I think when doing 30 mins its best to have less characters, i do understand dropping popular faces, but sometimes its adds to more. filler scenes that can be better used to expand on the important storylines. e.g. instead of renee or killy6summers scenes u coulda focused on the silent struggle of the mum at the housing officer. If they aint apart of the bigger narrative then sometimes just stay efficient if the time is limited. I like the locations of the scenes aswel, as a east london native and regularly being about in stratty i can only imagine how hard it was to get the scenes to film without being interrupted. The effort in this is soo good. You know one thing which i know some may think is odd is how chaotic the stab scene was. It wasn’t a clean seamless event. It was kinda a spark and a bang and that was it. Most of the times this is how brutal it is. A few “what, whats” and before you know it, you’re either running away or you’re bleeding on the floor. Very lifelike
