When Jade began to experience swelling in her leg back in 2019, doctors informed her that she was suffering from a condition known has ‘housemaid’s knee’ caused by repetitive strain injury.
Jade visited her GP up to seven times before being given the correct diagnosis of osteosarcoma, a type of primary bone cancer, in her shin bone. Her treatment involved intensive chemotherapy and an amputation. Today, Jade campaigns for greater awareness amongst healthcare professionals.

I wish you well Jade. My only child Tosh was diagnosed in 2012 with Oesteosarcoma aged 21. He went through lots of chemo including MAP. Sadly nothing worked for him and I lost him at 23. There needs to be more awareness and more research.
