We use something similar but we hook it behind our tractor or pickup truck. A BCS just isn't heavy enough, I'm sorry. We even tried using our 4 x 4 ATV to pull it and it didn't work.

Well............so good to see that you've involved the children in this "enterprise". As we humans work overtime to distance ourselves from "The dirt", the more of the very young who are engaged, the better-off we'll be.That BCS has some serious pulling ability when those cleats are in place. We have a mid-seventies Troy Horse but are lucky enough to have a garden with soil fair enough to allow the old machine to drag a potato plough through without trouble. Just in the process of fabricating a homemade "lifter" that we hope will perform as well as yours on our Massey 1655 garden tractor. At 5,000 square feet, the patch needs harvesting assistance beyond our aging abilities. I know your video is from 2014, but, I also hope you are having a splendid harvest this year. +searchlight22 Thank for the comment! Some times the kids are not very exited to work on the garden, but when they can see the fruits of their labor it is great to see how exited they get!

MrDieselOnly it is a potato lifter. I put it down as deep as it would go.
