This tunnel looks very disciplined to me. No lazy marching. Everyone's knees were high. Percussion section communicated well. The entire band got into the stands in less than 9 mintutes. Grant it, NCA&T's tunnel is more entertaining, but BCU's tunnel still gets the job done in a disciplined, professional manner, indicative of a institution of higher learning.

ok i didnt mean to put words in your mouth,drumline is not the best but the bottom line is cookman (band) sounds DAMN good esp.in person and iv seen bands that arn't showbands. even though music is music, this is still a completly different style of playing. marching 90s while playing at loud volumes, dancing while playing and sounding just as good as standing still and being consistant through out the whole show is not easy.

the cleanliness comes from the drum section. it starts with us and the band follows, never the other way around. And you doing all this talking shit sticks dropping. "I bet your best drumline in any year, Won't RUN Up On Cookman! I bet that!!! ... and about cymbal players winging it, and why the changing cadences when heads are down. well if your in a good real section, where everybody knows they place and cadences you won't have to always look for your section leader to announce our count nothing off, it's called knowing your music. Smoothest collegiate drum section in black colleges nationwide, PERIOD.

NSU tunnel will eat BCU up every time...the way the cadences sound, the different styles of marching from each section.... It is a bit "high schoolish".

Yea it's getting the job done, but I've seen the job done better. lol It's not as disciplined as you think. People looking around, cymbals look like they just wingin' the whole thing, sticks dropping etc. Also some transitions don't make sense. Like if the whole section's head is down why is a signal to switch cadences being called? It could be put together a better if professionalism is the goal

aw shit here we go again with this DCI shit this is not DCI ok but bottom line this one of the cleanest playing and precise bands around and one of the best iv heard (Band wise). can you prove that just because there a show they cant come close and what in What way does DCI Look and carry themselves better. they ae two completly different styles and i doubt they are even trying to mimick DCI so quit comparing its stupid.

Continued... i judge bands on there own merits. i wouldnt consider any style best. its a matter of personal taste. concert band, wind ensamble is a different story. BCU overall executes and thats really all that matters. and by that i would say they are one of the best, they do what they do best and thats all you can judge them on. in HS VBODA as long as we did what we did best what could they say? you get a grade 4 for being a SB no, thats just biased and fucked up.
