BD, Thanks so much for doing my buy me a coffee song reaction request. I was so excited to give you this one, I thought you would love it. What an amazing job these young Lady's did on this one, a beautiful Roberta Flack classic. This arrangement was also so well done. The Girls made it their own!!! Killing Me Softly with His Song is a song composed by Charles Fox with lyrics by Norman Gimbel. The lyrics were written in collaboration with Lori Lieberman after she was inspired by a Don McLean performance in late 1971. In 1973, it became a number-one hit in the United States, Australia and Canada for Roberta Flack, and also reached number six on the UK Singles chart. Citizen Queen has done a lot of there performances in A Cappella like in this performance, but have done songs with music as well. Citizen Queen is an American Girl group consisting of vocalists from left to right in the video, Cora Isabel, Nina Nelson, Kaylah Sharve', Hannah Mrozak, & Kaedi Dalley. The group was formed in 2018 with mentorship from Pentatonix member Scott Hoying, and along with arrangers, and Producers Ben Bram and Shams Ahmed, "hand-selected" The Original five members of the group. The members of the group "come from different States and different ethnic backgrounds. The members of the group were complete strangers before the group's founding", except for members Nelson and Sharve'. Unfortunately Hannah Mrozak left the group in 2022, and Kaylah Sharve' departed the group in May of 2024. Both members left the group in good terms, and are still good friends, and still keep in touch. The remaining group continues on as a trio of three. There is a lot of material and performances with the five piece group as they were together from 2018 to 2024 -6 Years.
