Personally I think their mother (or perhaps caretaker if not mother) may have been a member of the Don Quixote family. We have seen them time and again become dissillusioned with their own perceived godhood and face their mortal end because of it. In fact it could very well have contributed to Homing feeling the need to remove his family from Mariejois only a few short years after the God Valley incident. Twin could not have give WB scar, because during Valley, Shanks was baby. Clone also not possible, because clone would need to look like 40 year old Shanks that met WB. Cloning was not even the thing in WG in that time. Only if WB got that scar recently, but then it would mean Marco and other commanders also fought Holly Knights and Im pretty sure if that happened we would know that. I'm really not a fan of this theory, for two reasons. That means Kaido "If it's a one v one bet on Kaido" got held back by presumably just Shank's brother and maybe one or two people with him if I'm being generous. Which feels terrible. Opposed to Kaido and his crew getting stopped by Shanks and his crew. Also him intercepting Kaido is WHY he came so late and after so much death had happened. If he didn't have to intercept Kaido, why didn't he show up sooner at Marineford? It wasn't exactly a mystery that Ace was being executed and he knew WB would do anything to save him so there is no reason for Shanks to show up that late UNLESS he had to intercept Kaido first.

Twins that have been separated since birth in actual case studies have shown that twins uptake similar hobbies n personality traits. A case This happened when 2 brothers that didn’t meet for 60years unknowingly ran into each other, doing the same job carpentry, smoked the same brand cigarettes, same hair style, same style of clothes and so on. Quite a weird phenomenon. Personally I think stabs will be blonde due to Garling being shown to be blonde, thus showing shanks was different from birth or he dyed his hair from young.

It's not a twin or clone. It's literally a part of Shanks his mother cast away using someone's devil fruit skill. Figurland just like all the Holy Knights are strong but Emu "Infected" them with his power to take their powers to another level. This infection comes with power but also comes with a shackle of obedience that can even pass on to the children of the person who obtained this power from Emu. So when Shanks was born, his mother removed the infection so she can give her only child true freedom from Emu. The part that was ripped out from Shanks become stabs.

One Piece just keeps deeper in lore, in mythology and the lives of the major players in the New World. The final saga is intense. And it's showing that there's cultural tension in Elbaph. There's more to Loki than what the giants are saying. And there's other giants we haven't met yet that wouldn't see the Straw Hats as allies. I'm very interested to see how Usopp's development will spark through all of this. No matter how time moves through this arc, I'm patiently waiting to see how Vegapunk's return will further assist the Straw Hats. They're going to need a lot of help it seems. It's past the point of only seeing what the Monster trio can do. As for Shanks potential twin (since that isn't confirmed), I'm more interested in awaiting the reveal of his motivations, seeing how he fights, and who fights him. Dragon was right. Once the God's Knights are on the move, that's when things will get serious. And we are here. We can't forget about what's going on in Wano. We can't forget that slimy devil fruit user (I forget his name) is now some kind of informant and member of the BlackBeard pirates. Information, just like Big Mom understood, can tip the scales. I personally think it's possible that the whole figarland bloodline are clones much like the situation with germa. They were bred to be elite soldiers for the celestial dragons which is why figarland looked enough like shanks to question but not a one to one like this new character where he is for all intents and purposes a one to one of Shanks. It would also explain shanks reaction to what roger said. Finding out you're a clone to carry out orders from the celestial dragons would be pretty heartbreaking. I think it also helps explain some of what was going on at god Valley especially with Saturn's presence there being highlighted. I find it interesting how that is as mentioned in particular and then we get a random Holy Knight that looks JUST LIKE Lilith. What if Lilith is based on that Holy Knight? The satellites have to be based on people who are real or once alive at some point. Clones are way too relevant at this point in the story, and I think the satellites are clones of special people.

9:20 The Figarland family is one of the 19 celestial dragon families, it would make sense for the family to have mutiple living members besides Shanks and Garling, and I wouldn't worry about mutiple Shanks running around ruining the story, because first of all only his twin would have his same exact face (even Garling looks different in his youth), and second of all even then they would be entirely different personality wise, third of all family is not narrative clones and therefore they don't would occupy the same narrative spave andway (think Mingo and Rocinante). 10:30 I feel the same about the Kuma thing, but i do think that you can take Lilith's promise with a grain of salt, what she WaANTED TO DO and what she CAN DO are two completely different things, I suspect getting Kuma back would not be as easy as it sounds in her head, that is if it can be done at all, I think it would be a bitter sweet thing at best, something like Kuma's soul has already past on leaving his body behind as a blank slate like a new bore baby, and follow up by the philosophical question of whether or not giving him back his memory even though his soul is different and now having the chance to start his life anew without his past reincarnation's tragidies dictate his brand new life.

I'd like to think it's a twin because of the narrative connotations. Shanks and "Stabs" would be examples of the exact same people raised differently and how it affected them. One Piece is about inherited will. What kind of will would Shanks inherit growing up under Roger and Stabs under the Celestials. Next is how it happened. Since Garling is a rule to the letter kind of guy, what if there's a rule about God Knights only allowing one per family or an heir. And Stabs was chosen so Garling instead of being the sensible adult and just raising Shanks chose to abandon him.

Its actually a phenomenon that happens irl with twins that subconsciously choose and act the same exact way the other twin does without ever interacting with one another an example is a couple on omegle met some guy and the guy confused the mans girlfriend for his wife and the reason for this is ironically that mans wife is actually the guys girlfriend twin sister and both dyed there hair pink with alittle white without ever meeting.

The reason i’m loving the Direction of the story rn is bc the cool possibilities. but Personally i want it to be shanks bc Oda can explore idolization like he’s done already with luffy, it’d be dope if his fav person and a lots fav character isn’t who he seems to be. And if Somehow the woman with him is UTA, it’d be a perfect way to introduce her, she a figerland (could be holy knight) and she could be a hidden member of Red hair pirates. But i’m not opposed to shanks twin thing or clone, they both have claims for lol. But i hope it’s shanks.

Honestly I think it would make sense for them to be completely identical if we're going off of the narrative that Loki was framed by shanks twin, and the only way I see that working is if shanks twin looked exactly like shanks

I think stabs is the one who stopped kiado from coming to marine ford while the real shanks went to stop the war if you think about it stabs was probably told to stay in the background and keep anyone else from coming to marine ford to keep it from being much bigger then it was and shanks might have ran into stabs and told him he wasn’t goin to fight he was going to end it then told him kiado was going to be showing up and where and told him he should probably be more worried about him and if stabs is even a little bit as smart as shanks he would know that kiado poses more of a threat at marine ford then shanks himself so he let him pass to go after kiado that one time but I think the next time they meet they will clash

i dont know how the timeline works, but what if loki accidentally (or not) killed his dad to protect lola. maybe his dad saw it as disrespect by turning down their prince loki and wanted to imprison or kill her. maybe thats what got him locked up. maybe he told luffy as well?
