BDO Gathering With Mastery - Power level from Beginner to Artisan in Under an Hour

Today we're going to talk about basic gathering fundamentals, such as experience and buffs, whether to use manos or embroidered, where to powerlevel, how behr's loop works and more!

This is the only time I use embroidered clothes myself, I use my Manos Gatherers every other time for larger yields. When powerlevelling however, it's too juicy to pass up.

Theres more chefs than farmers right now, mass cooking really skewed the market into a drought. Farming is quite a good supplement to cooking or just straight income! I still go to behr at guru, and probably wont stop any time soon :)

Yeah, I couldn't do this - it's way more money than I have to prepare to do this. To be clear present BDO to get a similar set up to the one seen here you need to invest at least 13 billion silver. Ultimately making this method a very good way to raise life skills for family bonus money. But that's it, so if you do not have 13 billion to throw at this then move along.

I would imagine he even spent lifeskilling since started to game this (some people only do that lol) or he could have spent hours of grinding to then start doing something else...some are warriors some are gardeners - but luckily In this game u can be all if you want and if you put enough time and effort. You need to have CP You need to have energy You need to know the market and know the area You need to have gear You need time to make it roll...you don't have to be great to start, but you need to start to be great. We all have our origins, and in this game there are people who play casually and always complain about luck of money..dont be 1 of them.

How do you click-to-gather properly? I've set the click to move setting but most of the time my character just walks up to the gathering object and stands there and only very rarely actually starts gathering... also not once have I gotten it to gather without moving like you do in the pilgrims video

Ah yes, the good old times when power leveling under Master :) To be fair, you were talking about Magic Hoes and then you show us the skill and gather results after gathering with TET Manos Hoe. I'm curious if the amount of rare drops and number of item slots per gather differ with Magic Hoe. If so, then beginners won't skill nearly that fast.

Mastery makes very little difference to XP gained. The hedgehog is the biggest buff to gathering speed.

could you make a guide on how to get energy quick? i try to look up where npc's are on bdo codex and go talk to them all for my knowledge but since im just going down the list i end up taking so much time going back and forth to a specific npc making it very inefficient as i was getting like 3 energy per hour i feel like something im doing is wrong maybe a better website idk would be a great help :) thanks

Even at Artisan you can make profit with proper mastery gear. I would consider a mix of herbs at Behr and gathering meat, on my server lion meat is going for crazy prices, wolf meat as well.

Is it worth to shift into mastery if I have enough silver to invest in a tet butcher knife and tri loggia accs? Maybe even tet loggia accs? Not sure if I should switch out silver embroider gather clothes into some mastery clothes, I’ll be able to hit around 750 mastery with this. My guild is telling me to use manos, or to not invest at all.

It doesn't matter what combo you use, just make sure that you switch to mastery tools at 650, which it sounds like you're above. Everybody has different capital, so buy according to your means. That being said, the faster you get to that tet manos goal, the more money you'll end up making =]

Grana is best, Trent is fine however. Depends on how you want to build your worker empire, and how long you want to spend doing processing each day.

Do you have mouse movement enabled in the settings? If you do, you might just be out of range. Its not the longest range, but its way better than moving plant to plant.

That's where a majority of the profit actually comes from while gathering, is the enhancing stuff! Seeing as this was about strictly powerlevelling ranks, it's worth it in this case. Otherwise, you'll need to calculate your total profit per hour and make the decision - are you making more or less silver than if you were doing another activity while waiting for the regen? I'm currently making about 358k per energy point used, so in this case it is absolutely worth it.

Guru 20 should be your cap, and you should be fine to do this except without all the mastery gear. Once you get it though it'll just amplify the amount of silver you get per hour!

11 month old comment so this reply is probably for whoever comes after :) Master 1 is 35 million xp and guru 1 is 735 million xp, i'd guess it takes 20 times as long as it took you to get master If he got artisan 2 in an hour it'd be 6 hours to master 1 which works out to 120 hours of pure gathering, so weeks of consistently grinding to get guru 1 is my best guess (basing my numbers on the incendar lifeskill xp chart)

gathering is ez money very early. but if you want huge money in the long run go bartering.

Bartering is huge trap for newbies its like 1.4 bil at the least to get s ship worthy of doing proper barters(as in large enoguh scale that equal grinding or other lifeskills) + you need ot level up your sailing ot at least skilled 1 for Breezy Sails.. not to mention the knowledge required ot learn barter routes to be efficient.

It is still, the hedgehog isn't as important as it was before mastery. It does however provide a slight increase in loot and a good chunk more XP. If you get the chance to pick one up as it usually is in bundles, its worth. Especially if you gather a lot.

- its used in some alchemy recipes that have exit points in imperial alchemy(so you also get ot levle your alchemy later on) - you get less overall per gather if any so they are rarer + there arent nodes for it, you either gather it or farm it with fences.

This video is misleading, and I am sure alot of people have already caught up with that fact, I can tell you that me with full tri manos accessories and a +4 silver gatheres clothes with just a magic tool not a manos one you do not make artisan within an hour, went from prof7 to artisan 1 within maybe close to an hour but again i was prof 7, maybe its nerfed now and back then it was crazy xp I can tell you even with full buffs that its decent xp but you wont be seeing that thing pop on top of your screen to tell you you have reached the next lvl every 5 minuets or something. But I am not bashing the method, Bher is still an amazing spot that everyone goes to to lvl their gathering. it just aint as fast as people say it is.

I also did mention all the things you could get if you weren't able to get manos (SE clothes, repairing at the NPC, buying hoes from the vendor there or using magic). This is also a power levelling guide, for new players and existing alike.
