I think this tier list needs a skill floor and skill ceiling category instead of just a blanket difficulty. What a lot of people are correctly pointing out is that A nova is not "very hard" to play at an effective level, but what they're failing to understand is how hard the class is to play at the highest level. She's so OP right now that almost anyone can pick the class up in a week and pull above average trash in a lot of spots, but you aren't going to be pulling above average trash in comparison to good Novas. The difference between pawel and an average A nova is ridiculous and I can't think of any class where there is that kind of gap between the top and the average players in PVE.

Add to that the exhaustion factor. The issue with awak nova skill ceiling is not the technical difficulty in itself but being able to maintain it over multiple hours. Like 1 or 2 is ok but more than that and you'll be better off grinding on a guardian. Well, that would be an apm category. That said, I have yet to play the new nova.

Nice work sir, very interesting to see a raw analysis like this from actual players. I myself have played since Ninja launch and have spent a decent amount of time on most of the classes (for PvE, some PvP). Obviously there are some biases but there is one ranking I can't actually agree on, which is the ranking for succession nova. I personally found her to be great for end game PvE. She's slow, but definitely has some of the best burst damage AoE's in game. It's a very add-on dependent class though, which is probably why people have complaints. She's the only class I've seen where some of the skills automatically chain together.

Awk Berserker pve combo is pretty easy. Don't let Yofamsteve discourage you because whatever reason... the most difficult part to learn is mobility and protections via mobility in awk zerk. Not an issue in pve but in pvp that's where you'll kick urself if u don't learn protected movement.

I don’t think sorc is hard. Maybe if you want peak performance but the mobs in bdo aren’t the brightest and if you have a decent understanding of your class you should be able to burst them down. Just my take.

Looking at the list, we already know that pearl abbyss does not know how to balance or with the changes she makes she does not have the purpose of balancing the classes. Difficult classes that do not reward you for grinding, very easy classes that in all spots are tier S+, classes that are not even an option for either pve or pve. Classes that are very forgotten or that don't even make the effort to promote them (see la nova succ, valk succ, kuno awa). Good video, i always think this tier list are very very reliable

Great vid and use of class graphics on the background. As a Succession Nova its always a bit sad that I see her being universally stated as being the worst class in the game no matter where I look or read be it reddit, youtube or community forums. Its so weird they keep her in this spot when she was so sorely in need of rework for some years now and they aren't even planning anything so it's not like they're can be like "we're working on it". I love how plain archers everythin is hahahaha, I honestly reckon hes all around amazin, only thing you need to learn, is timing with each skill, and when to use it, but my combo at gyfins for example (vid made for it) actually prefers on pair if not better than some classes. Amazing work bro ty. One thing that I see coming back a lot is the "fun" factor. Like you can have a class at 8 for endgame spots, but a 10 in fun. Some people only chase the meta, others will stick with a fun class that is less efficient. Maybe for future class lists :)

All I disagree with is awakening striker being a tier higher than awakening musa for endgame pve.. Since I play both personally awake striker is too animation locked to do well, musa has comparable damage but with the addition of cancels and more mobility he just does better overall Rest of the list seems well thought out and accurate

I'll leave a comment to boost the youtube algorithm! I will say though, as a succ zerker player. the fall off between midgame and end game is way worse than .5. According to Garmoth atleast. #43/51 at Crypt... 50/51 at Darkseeker? Mid 20's at Tungrad, Dekhia Tunkuta, Cyclops, etc. That's more than a .5 drop. You know its bad when Choice wont even grind on it at end game spots.

Awakening Nova isn't hard to understand, but it has this flow of "High APM > Insane APM > repeat" that some people may find exhausting. Also, her defenses are almost universally Super Armor, so not paying attention can get you utterly exploded in certain areas unless your DP trivializes incoming damage.

@@Moon-D0G They had to provide i-frames for the Black Shrine boss fights, otherwise classes with i-frames would have a dramatic advantage over classes without them for many of the mechanics. Here's the thing: providing i-frames in PvE actually INCREASES the skill ceiling. When you don't have them, all you can do is move out of the way of attacks as quickly as possible and wait for the attack animation to trigger; when you do have them, you can i-frame at the absolute last split-second to keep your DPS up and move only to prevent getting hit by the attack. This is especially true of attacks with telegraphs or long wind-up animations.

Good to see Maehwa is S tier, i play her a lot (awakening) she has everything I need, bursty power, swiftness, and good defence, the only thing she lacks is aoe sometimes and the cooldowns, but overall she's nice, I dont get why she's so underrated though. Can I offer a request for the next time you do this? Ask the class masters how good the classes are at defending their grind spots. I know it's a "PvE Only" video, but being able to defend your grind spot by either killing or outgrinding interlopers is a part of PvE, I feel. For example, Succession Witch is utterly useless at defending her grind spot, but Awakening Witch is pretty solid in that regard. It's a factor that may edge Awakening out over Succession if someone plans to go to a contested grind spot.
