Could you do a video on the extra stuff you did during A levels to build up your cv for law x as you said you did summer school but could you go into more detail on the extra things you did which allowed you to make an impressive cv and get in to a good university to study law as im also trying to do the same:)

Well done! I could relate to you about having substandard teaching. Just be thankful you had KZbin and the like to supplement your studies. I did GCSEs pre internet, if you didn't understand in class you were basically screwed.

Thank you very much for this video! I am currently in Year 10 and my science teacher is terrible (just like your teachers were). He does not teach (nor understand) the content very well and skims over the higher level topics. He expects everyone in my class to get a middle grade, even though some of us are aiming for the top. This video has given me so much motivation and hope; I will work hard and achieve my best!xxx You are amazing! xxx

Loved this ! Entering year 12 this year and thinking about doing economics, politics, English lit and philosophy! Do you recommend doing 4 or dropping one? My dream is to go to a high end uni like lse or Cambridge to do either law or politics but I’m not sure whether my a levels are good xxx
@manahilzahra35644 жыл бұрын
lucy dixon I’m going into sixth form as well and if I’m going to be honest... maybe go into sixth form with all 4 and drop one because sis 4 subjects is a no no... they’re good subjects!
@umaryousaf374 жыл бұрын
I deffo do not recommend doing 4 A levels. It’s hard enough to balance 3 and you can get into the Uni you want with just 3. 4 is just unnecessary stress, all that matters is that you get the grades to get to the Uni you want.
@umaryousaf374 жыл бұрын
Also I don’t know anyone who chose 4 and then didn’t drop one after AS because they regretted it so much

@angelicaolawepo6 жыл бұрын
Hey Ayesha xx Thank you for watching and glad you found it helpful. I applied to LSE when I already had my A level grades, so my AS results were essentially irrelevant. Nonetheless, I have also discussed my AS grades in other videos on my channel here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGjcdXueosplnNk and kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3W5ZJuNi5ijhKs

I want to study law but tbh I don’t want to take English I would rather take law in. 6th form but Ik it’s recommended but there isn’t any suggested grades for law tbh
@umaryousaf374 жыл бұрын
It depends on what Uni you want to apply to. If you wanna go to a top Uni then I think you should minimum at least have one facilitating subject. If not then you can go for law. It’s also important to show that you can get the high grades they want.

I’m planning to do 2 A-levels at a private college I’m planning to to do religious studies and sociology what are your opinions on those to subjects especially religious studies I think religious studies would be the easiest a-levels for it’s not just knowledge based but it’s also about your opinion on certain topics I’m really struggling to figure out what my second a-level will be I think I should go with philosophy instead of sociology for it will go hand in hand with religious studies please help and give me some advice xx

@angelicaolawepo6 жыл бұрын
Hey Yanna xx thanks for watching. I disagree on your point about RS being the "easiest". It requires a lot of research, especially to get the top marks like I did (I got full marks). RS for me was essentially philosophy, ethics, religion and science. It was very content-heavy and required sophisticated writing/rhetoric skills. Simply stating your opinion won't get you higher than a D in A Level RS at best. Firstly, I advice you to go with whatever you enjoy and feel you would be motivated to study because half of the race is won when you actually wish to read the subject. As I said earlier, RS for me was pretty much philosophy (and other subjects) mixed together. Philosophy on its own was therefore not an option for students at my school. I believe the wise thing would be to check the course content and modules you'll be learning, and see what interests you there. Sociology goes well with RS, and I guess Philosophy might - depending on what exactly you're learning. There is also the downside that by doing RS and Philosophy you might not be broadening your horizon and learning about a variety of things while you have the option to. It depends on what you want as at the end of the day, it's you who will have to sit your exams.
@hannahheheh99365 жыл бұрын
yanna xxx uuuuh I do RS a-level and it’s my hardest subject(I do English language and politics also). Aswell as religion we study Philosophy and ethics and philosophy especially is very hard to get your head around never mind write down on paper.
