You can set the Atmos sound in the Audio setting first.. This BDP-S1500 can input Atmos sound to an Amplifier that supports Atmos Sir.. Because this Sony Bluray has DTS-HD MASTER AUDIO and DOLBY TRUEHD audio specs.. If you want Atmos sound on the Receiver, you need there are Bluray Player specs like I mentioned..

These players are going for cheap on 2nd hand stores. No need to buy new one unless you going for 4 k. They all play blu ray and dvds 1080p.

For some it may be but there are those that have no real idea in setting up electrical connections. So don't be to critical its done for those that would other wise need to pay others to do this.
