Sir u should have made the video more crisp and clear...many things are lacking...till 3rd year mbbs and bds subjects are mostly same...bds can get govt job... vacancy nikalti hai bhai...bt yes at the end every dentist opens his own clinic... dentistry is all skill based...A good bds earns more than mds in many cases...just depends on ur talent and skill...mds opens more opportunities for u...oral surgery is a branch of mds in which u get to work in multi-speciality hospitals...there are group of doctors including mbbs who together perform surgical cases like head and neck tumor,cyst..etc... dentistry is not about teeth only... people have big misconception about this field....many surgical procedure are done by dentist and they are equally equipped to give basic medical health services

That is what me and u and fellow dentist like us know but all we end up doing in our clinics for the most part say roughly around 80% of the time is RCT - crown prep - cementation how many patients turn up to us with a cyst or RTA with facial trauma hardly 10 may be per month most of which is treated by mat be a GS smwhere or sm govt hospital ryt Yes and there is a big void between us and the general public though now it has come down far better then what it was say 5 years ago. But still the general idea that okay dentist means nly confined to the tooth of concern is the general idea among a large public.

Very well said dentist r not meant to do jobs. Overall all doctor, mbbs, bams, bhms all hv to do their own practice. Science and commerce are two different things. In science u have to work hard....money is less in dis field

Just the other way round. Arts group r in million without jobs. Commerse not everyone is CA. Only engineers r science still can struggle nd are in race. The problem lies, in supply demand. BDS, seats hv increased too much. So it loses it's shine.

Every course is good and beneficial provided how one perceives and excels in it. MBBS 5 years, plus few more years, just to start earning but what people forget is that marriage age and time to settle in life, which is really practical. BDS is really fine especially for girls which will make their lives easy even after their marriage life to have a balanced life.

Sir mujhe dentist banna hai 🙂 par log itna bolte he ki dentist me govt job nhi hai.. aur private clinic chalega ki nahi kya pata... Tu bohot dar lagta hai because I'm from a middle class family aur job ki importance tu pata hi hogi apko .. but mujhe mbbs se jada BDS pasand hai.. but again job nhi tu kese kare 🥺

Since you got a govt dental college you should go for it and even if you're not satisfied you should do your neet prep sidewise but if you do BDS nicely I mean you can acquire proper skills then you have many options . Why go for clinic at first? Do MDS, Do speciality and you're a govt. Dental college student in assam so obviously you gonna get govt job in Assam.

Even though its a passion, i would still advice you to stay away from dentistry, i mean you will end up being jobless and setting up a clinic has alot of investment and risk factor. Plus, there is little to no demand of new dentists because there are already enough dentists. You are in 10th now right? Take some time, explore other options like BVSc, BPT, BAMS, biotech, etc. Mark my words, FOR BIO STUDENTS, MBBS IS THE BEST OPTION AND THE SUREST PATH TOWARDS SUCCESS.

To muge yahi lagta ha ki use government BDS bhot mehnge rate pr mille ha. On the cost of MBBS jiske donation fees 80 lackhs ha. Ha agr wo afford nai kr skta ha to baat alag ha. Baki jobs kam ha scope bhi limited ha , salary itne kam ha ki bta nai skoge sharm ate ha. Lakin skill acha hoga to clinics me bhot ache pase kma skte ha jo ki advantage ha

Ha enggerring , mba bba, ki company ko might be interst ho yeh janne me placement ke time Patints ko ghanta farak nai padhta konsa clg se uske dentist ne digree ki ha , na government jobs ke time koi value ha , Na abroad me koi puchta ha iss cheez ko Sab clg ache ha government ke. Farak yeh ha ki BDS ha ya MBBS. Agr BDS ha to sab collage more or less equall ha agr aap kaam sekhna chahte ho to koi clg kharab nai ha.

But mbbs side doctors have options of jobs as some or the other vacancy is there in multispeciality hospitals for them with fixed salary. Being a dentist (BDS) only option left is to open a clinic as there r no hiring in hospitals .

It completely depends on your financial background If he gets a merit seat in govt coll or good pvt coll with less fess go for it But doing MDS after BDS in must ....please keep tht thing in mind with a minimum of 8 lac investment for clinic post BDS or MDS
