I feel like Emily is such an underrated actress. I know she's had her fair share of work, but she should be as big as Patti or Bernadette! Her voice is amazing!

It's so nice to hear Alice again before the vocal damage. She still has a good voice, but it is no where near as warm or smooth as it was back then. Emily is always incredible.

I agree that Emily is an underated broadway actress and she has one of the best broadway voices I have ever heard. Love her!

I've been waiting to see this again since 98. When it first came on rosie I turned it cause the beginning was slow and I thought just you standard boring bway song. Then when I flipped it back I heard Emily belt, and I was in luv with her, and the sideshow soundtrack. Emily is just an amazing performer, and sooooo underatted.

I'm seeing alot of love for Emily. She's only half of this song. Alice is giving so much heart and passion in this piece aswell.

Emily looks so vulnerable, Alice is a power, but these two are a force to be challenged with a brilliant combination.

Alice Ripley belting the super high stuff in the last verse is absolute amazingness!!

These two are AMAZING! I think it's their vocal power that's driving them to project their determination to deliver the message that's at the heart of the song :)

okay, at 2:53. ONE: I'm dying over Emily Skinner's riff (same one she did @ 2008 Kennedy Center performance) and TWO: I'm dying over Alice Ripley's belt! AT THE SAME TIME, THE SAME WORD! So amazing, dammit :) Such vocal talent, I can't.

It makes me sad to think when they had performed this the show had been already closed for months since they were not in costume

You notice how O'Donnell (or, more accurately, her writers) goes out of her way to avoid mentioning that the lead characters are conjoined twins?
@bookofdust3 жыл бұрын
No mention that they actually get to look into each other’s eyes, and so intensely, singing this when they start, which they could never do on stage?

emily Skinner kicks butt!!! mMove over Alice Ripley this song belongs to Emily. I saw tyhe last performance of "Side Show" on broadway and damn they blew the roof off the ceiling. Love this show. One of my favorites!

Is Alice singing the top note at the end?
@rebekahunderwood849110 жыл бұрын
Usually Emily's part is the one that has the low harmonies then jumping to the high note for the last note. This time around I reckon Emily went for Alice's note by mistake at the end and had to slide up to her original note.
