Wow. The transparency, vulnerability shown here is a true testament of LOVE she has for others. To not be concerned about judgement in this carnal terrible world is extremely beautiful. See what genuine fear of God can do . I have this anger and rage within me and I've worked hard to try and find control on my own. Big mistake without GOD. Thank you Lisa

I have a new born and my husband goes out to bars and doesn’t come home. I realized I wasn’t enjoying my newborn because I was worried about what he was up to. So I walked out on him so I wouldn’t take my anger out on my daughter one day because I knew I it was very possible. Even though I’m the one who walked out I am hoping for restoration in my marriage and salvation for my husband. Thank you for this preaching it really touched my heart.

I hope ur husband comes to understand that going to the bar🍺 🍻 isn't conducive to building a good marriage. It is not the place to frequent whether single or married. I suggest u guys find a Christian marriage counselor ( through Focus On the Family)who will help prioritize not just ur time but the things you deem important. I will pray for ur marriage to be restored. It takes a Dad n a Mom who are committed to God, and each other to raise children who will thrive in a healthy environment ❤️

The transparency and honesty of her testimony is what many pastors and leaders in the world, today, need to learn from. The picture perfect church leader that has plagued the big "C" church for years has wreaked havoc and damage in their own families, and in the families they have led, because being real was a negative, instead of positive, and so many leaders have hidden their own struggles out of fear of judgment. Many families have lived defeated in their sins and strongholds instead of being taught how to repent, forgive and receive grace/mercy. Great word, thank you! May we all have ears to hear and receive what the Spirit has taught through this message.

This sermon always makes me emotional. I've been there and partially there. I've been asking God how to bring up to my own mother what I didn't realize I had not forgiven her for. I'll never forget I kept asking God show me any unforgivness. Show me why I'm angry. Suddenly my husband and I were discussing my sister one day and the abuse of my former step dad did to her and I felt a rage literally felt ut shoot from my stomach and into my heart and God said this is where your anger is coming from. I had not thought of this in years on purpose. And Sean said did you forgive that man.. in my mind since it didn't happen to me, it was not my place . But that rage burned so deep that I knew that it affected me more than I ever admitted to myself. So I've been praying for blessings on this man. Prayed that I forgive and asked God to help me forgive him and my mom. I hate the thought of bringing this up again bc my mom still hasn't forgiven herself i can tell... so I'm waiting for the right moment.. just feel I'm going to hurt my mother but listening to this helps me so much

God said go and forgive so that he will forgive you. Go to your mother and forgive her for messing you up, she did the best she knew how. Go to your father and forgive him for not protecting you from her, he did the best he knew how. In a twinkling of an eye God will forgive you and you will be free from anger, from your mother, and the world around you.

I just pray for her and choose to not be disrespected anymore. I love her and she knows it it’s time to let god work in her. The devil has been trying to continue to guilt me but I’m forgiven and god knows I tried everything now I have to let go and let god do his work . God knows her best. Karen Balboa, while it's great to apply Lisa's teachings here, you sound like you need help right now for your anger, traumas and the past- as you said, this is harming your children today- please go get trauma therapy for PTSD,which most abused people have. This pattern of abuse from your own parents got lodged in your mind and emotions, that's how the brain works. Abuse and toxic stress causes structural damage to babies' and children's brains. Also, in America, child abuse is still illegal. So please get support, and please get this trauma dealt with.

This message was a blessing to me. I’m known to have very terrible fits of rage and I would always try to justify it but blaming the person. For the past year I’ve been giving myself, my time, my energy and all to a man I wasn’t even in a real relationship or dating and even lost my virginity to him even though more than anything I wanted to wait until marriage. And the Holy Spirit was showing me the reality of our relationship and that he most likely isn’t going to marry me. For the past couple of weeks I’ve have been angry and mad and meditating on evil thoughts towards him, but it isn’t his fault it’s my own because God told me not once or twice but several times, through other people and I kept giving him the benefit of the doubt. I was truly only angry and mad and blaming him because I feel so ashamed, guilty and angry at myself for being naive and ignoring reality and falling into fornication. I’m still trying to heal and forgive myself for all that I did that I shouldn’t have and I think that’s the hardest part for me because a large part of me feels I don’t deserve forgiveness because I knew what I was doing. But this message really opened my eyes to see myself and to stop blaming my anger on spirits and generational curses and family and etc, because I AM SAVED by the sacrifice and the power of the Blood so that means I CAN CHANGE with the help of the Holy Spirit as well. Today I’m taking accountability for my anger issues and I say GOOD BYE FITS OF RAGE in Jesus Name!

Lisa, thankyou. I grew up in South Africa. My parents was pastors. The biggest secret in South Africa is that about 80 % of all the children has been physically abused by their parents, the teachers or any adult in their lives. It was normal to be beaten bloody by your parents. Most of my high-school friends, I found out as an adult, were beaten, kicked, cursed and almost killed by their parents. This is the true curse over South Africa... not racism. Racism is the fruit of this awful parenting style.

Watching this a year later than my first time, I think. It's so relevant to me right now. I'm currently in therapy and under Holy Spirits council to get stripped of bitterness after all the pain I've experienced. I'm praying for a discipler, an older woman in the faith who can walk with me like Paul did with Timothy. I'm extremely grateful for this word, insanely grateful. It stays on my mind.

This was so good. God is good, and Holy Spirit coming at just the right time, even when this sermon is a few years old, God finds a way and reveals these things to us. The message has been in line with everything I have been going through the past month. It is in line with every other Word God has shown me, in line with recent sermons and teachings from church and through conversation with people. I may not hear audibly from God, but in whispers, in pages and other avenues that are so consistent with one another, it couldn't be anything or anyone else but the Lord himself. Thank the Lord for you Lisa and John for paving a way for men and women, couples and families who are going through what you went through and sharing your hearts.

I appreciated this sermon. At the same time, I do not believe all situations are alike, or that you can make hard & fast rules that all situations can be interpreted the same. I grew up in rage, & was making awesome change, from all I was learning in support groups. And then I was put through an absolute, terror, torture nightmare, of severe mistreatment, which included threats against my family. Torture & terror created some negativity at times in the home I was creating as a single mom. It's funny what being terrorized can do to a person. And that is far from just a normal family situation. Yet, thankfully, I still never repeated the cycle of ongoing rage that I grew up in, with verbal abuse, & physical abuse. One day Jesus gave me a Word about my mom- to help me forgive. He called me to be a healer in my family... & told me about my mom- that we all have good & bad in us... & also insight that she was a wounded person.... As I consistently receive words matching my prayers, coming through Bible based resources, I was able to know this was a true Word of God. Seeing Jesus truly with me in this Way makes all the messes okay, healed, transformed by Him.
