What a wonderful visit to Randy's orchid growing area. He truly has a way with his orchids. Really like his watering/fertilizing system. Could he do a demo about how he made the system sometime for your viewers?

Great collection of orchids. His place looks very peaceful. Beautiful place. Great idea on the clamping of the pots and also the drilled holes for the pots. Although a catagory 3 to 5 hurricane will lift all that up and out. I’ve seen 70 mile winds lift entire roofs of houses up into the sky. His idea is great for tropical storms and lower winds hurricanes. Anything over 60 mile winds can cause outside elements to crash against your orchids and any other exposed plants. Love the Epidendrum nocturnum. The Galeandra is a must in my collection. His is gorgeous. Great orchids!💚

Awesome collection and grower, thank you for sharing your visit to Randy. I don’t necessarily agree that those pots won’t fly off during a hurricane however but I applaud Randy’s creativity. I’ve seen roofs fly off and walls come down, so due to my own hurricane PTSD, I’m always overly cautious. Thanks again and see you at KS soon!

Hi Natalia, that last Cattleya looks like Bc Maikai mayumi . I used to have one and they are an easy orchid to grow and the flowers smell really good.

I'd follow Randy's advice. Experiment with location, water habits, fertilizer etc. Mine was also not a looker. I moved her couple of times and she started blooming. Thank you
