Gotta be a warm spring around there, overall pretty solid... thanks for the ice update

Thank you so much for posting this. I'm meeting my buddy in La Crosse 1/3-1/6 and neither of us have ice fished the area (he's Minnesota, I'm Colorado). I've been scouring for up to date reports on ice conditions and you're basically the only person talking about it in real time. When conditions are like this, and with the weather coming up between now and next weekend, do the more protected backwaters like Goose Island, Trempeleau, and Reno Bottoms tend to have safer ice than Onalaska? We're on foot dragging sleds; I only drive my minivan on roads and my neighbor's front lawn. Thanks!

@@smoothestbassist7086 The main part of Onalaska (off Schafer’s or Fisherman’s Rd) will stay in good shape. The backwaters on Pool 8 and the Trempealeau should also hold up pretty well, but some areas like Third Lake in Trempealeau will get some unsafe areas because of flowing water or springs.

The bottom is supposed to drop out in that area 1/2-1/4 giving good ice. However, never take anything for granted.

@@JamesLee-yw8hk Got it. Yeah I don't take safe ice for granted, I have a bunch of other cool shit I can do besides drowning and hypothermia.
