Every time you train. You See it. This Video reminds me of Mishima Yukio’s “need to transform reality”. But first he had to Transform his Body by Transforming his Actions and thus Transforming his Mind.

I haven't heard of Yukio before but I will certainly check out his work.

These are the foundations of true transformation. It requires navigating difficult and unfamiliar terrain. It is easy to get lost; many times in my training with Baguazhang I have lost my way. I've thought I was replacing it with another discipline just to discover that I was iterating on its design biomechanically. Then the realization of that reality sent me into a kind of fugue state, where I wasn't sure what my goals were anymore and I would train on autopilot. We do need to be able to dream, to imagine a self that is embodying our potential. So many elements of life obfuscate this path. We need waystations along this journey, to check in with ourselves as to what we want and what we're willing to do to get there. Its one step at a time, with an eye towards an eternally moving horizon.

Being a minority male, I faced the dark and harsh reality that being mediocre can be dangerous for such a man. A non-minority male may can get away with it but for the rest of us, he can draw hostile and extremely negative energy towards you. There is no middle ground for us, either we're on top of the world or at the bottom and for those of us at the bottom, our days will be filled with peril!

Wow man amazing video I guess I’ve done it subconsciously especially towards more the beginning of my training which in my opinion my progression is quite fast and people assume I’ve been doing martial arts my whole life but it’s actually only been 9 months since I started taking it (seriously) I’ve always had like one of those chase mentality of achieving something greater or striving high! The contrast part of comparing your current reality with what you want to achieve or become it really helps sets the boat in motion / from a place of inspiration & passion a mixture of both that’s what helped me and not just in training too I’ve been eating way better even more better these past couples day I constantly saturate my entire being with the kind of person I want to be and like you said it happened naturally! No effort! I have been feeling better and stronger ever before! Let’s keep up the good work guys !

This is an example of what I'm talking about in the video. You will draw into your experience things you need to learn about. It might not always be what you want to hear, but it's what you need!

Yes Grant great reminder... I once operated in this creative realm; but find myself caught up in the daily grind of self employment hurry up and keep up...

Yess bro it's very easy to get caught up, but investing into yourself, will reveal simpler and easier methods to go about your worldly affairs that currently feel like a grind. But until you do that, they will never be revealed to you.

This about the energetic potential storing inside and its effects and that addictive people are of the most high-potential people are interesting concepts. How this whole thing works in the body and how to utilize this energy inside. Indeed this stuff is the real stuff. I really wonder lately, what switch must flip in my brain so that the things I want to do become effortless. Imagination and vivid visualization + not giving a f of others' opinions + gamifying the experience = unprecedented immersion and next level transformation? Great video once again brother. Deeper every time.

Most people are held back by fear. But here’s the question I ask myself everyday, what is holding me back? Why? There’s nothing there so why do I hesitate?

It’s you bro. Or more accurately a part of you that is false… a phantom. When investigated sincerely it’s nowhere to be found

What if you are already doing very fulfilling, very high-standard, maybe even large-scale things but you've consistently been incapable of transforming yourself to fit those things. Especially for me, I used to believe that many of my goals in life will depend on whether I can build the discipline to get fit, build strength, and look fairly muscular. If I was being honest, I think I pursue wild goals to corner myself into transformation but I actually tend to eke by without transforming. I have been able to achieve many of my absolutely wildest dreams but they have always felt thin and warped because I've always felt dettached from the achievement. I am certain this is because I haven't been able to transform myself to suit them. And I don't want to tell myself I can just "be myself" in these environments because there is so much more that I can do in this arena if I was more confident and gave off more of an aura of strength.

It sounds like you're attempting to have the goal 'bring the best out of you', just by the very nature of it's existence which it won't do. You still have to do the inner work to get up to speed with it, and only then do the right actions take on a different dimension in how they feel to execute.
@marthyangue3195 ай бұрын
@grantstevensma I think I've been trying and failing to get that inner work done for over a quarter century now and not sure where to start where it will not end the exact same place. I've always wanted to look up to someone to want to follow after but each time, especially when it comes to physical transformation, I could never take shifting my own identity towards physicalities I admire seriously. How can that inner work start, and how can that process be sustained?

Grant, what if you don't have any desires anymore? There's nothing there.. 😬🤷♂️
@johnnyquiddd72815 ай бұрын
Thank you Grant 🫡🙏 I've also been analyzing what successful people do and how they think and I've reached the same conclusions. Since I've started to strengthen my discipline and to act on my desires instead of just wishing it would somehow magically fall into place... Well, surprise... My life steadily improved over the course of 1 year and a half. I had a lot of amazing synchronicities that made me realize I'm on the right path along the way. It might sound cliche but martial arts and lifting really saved me from a life of mediocrity. The level of discipline you can build with martial arts is amazing to say the least.
