Seen a lot of folks swap in Bigallet China-China for the Amer PIcon. Can't speak to their similarity personally, but I was able to get a hold of Bigallet in Chicago and can verify it is delicious.

I really love these New Orleans style cocktails! I don't know if it's because I am French Canadian, but this Creole Cocktail taste really good! I make cocktails for 7 years now and I red several books since and it always was difficult to find recipes and ratios I like. With your channel, it's always perfect! Thanks for your work!

Need to do a side by side with a Vieux Carre. I do my VC with about half the Benedictine and non-grapey cognac, so I'm thinking they're going to be pretty close. I use aperol- not sure the effect here.

I just made it, no Amer Picon here, but I had Ramazzotti and Regan's orange bitters. I think I like it more than the vieux carré. Less Benedictine forward which is a plus to me. Sorta like a black Manhattan/vieux carré lovechild.

For those who don't have Amer Picon or Ramazzotti, I made this using Carpano Antica vermouth and Averna subbed in for the amaro, and it's outstanding. Rich dark chocolate, spiced cherry, and pecan pie flavors with a hint of anise on the back end. The finish is huuuuge. Best drink I've made with the Antica so far. 10/10

So I tried one of the super-popular cocktail subscription boxes. It was fine… but not exactly my taste. Your drinks are nearly always to my taste - if you started a cocktail sub box I’d definitely give it a try. I imagine that you’ve been doing this long enough now you could put together a Mardi Gras box, and a Shamrock box, a bourbon box, etc etc. Maybe a collab with Liber & Co? Think about it.

I do live next to the French border and Amer Picon is cheap and easily available. However whenever it is called for I use China China Bigallet instead. It is an Orange Liquer with Vermouth and Quinine... I used 1/4 OZ and it made a great Creole!

I made this 8 months ago with Rittenhouse 100 proof and Reagans' bitters and thought it was pretty good but after flipping through the cockatail rolodex for a while I kind of forgot about it. Fast forward to today and this randomly showed up in my feed. This time a paid attention and noted the recommendation for a more melow Rye, used Sazerac this time at 90 proof, and now I have the Fee Brothers West Indies Organge bitters. Absolutely fantastic...your ratios and ingredients have yet to make me question.

Video Idea - Bartending tips for beginners. I need to know how to run a dry bar at a venue with no sink. I will be using Boston shakers; where do I rinse the shakers? I ran a mocktail bar for my 15year-old nephew's birthday and I have tons of requests for proms, parties, and other events; most of which do not have a sink for washing shakers. I thought about one of those camping sink/table combos, but that requires hose water and a drain. Most of the mocktail requests are for adults who don't drink alcohol so I want to be professional and clean. Any advise would help. Cheers Anders

looks wonderful, but, like a lot of recipes, can involve a big layout for just 1/4 oz each of 2 ingredients: in my case, over $70 for Benedictine & Amaro. (and i need a lemon. damn.) i'm going to spring for the Benedictine (found lots of great recipes to use it, and apparently it's great in cooking); for the Amaro, Campari is suggested as a reasonable substitute. one really useful item for your updated website: what to use when you can't afford a certain bottle but would like to try the recipe anyway. cheers!
