Be Generous
One day, jaya was going through her son Sanju's clothes to donate the ones that no longer fit him. As she gathered them up, Sanju walked into the room and asked, "What are you doing, mummy?"
jaya smiled and said, "I am taking your old clothes to give them away to children who need them."
She held up a sweater and said, "Look at this sweater, Sanju! Do you remember? Your grandma gave it to you."
Sanju's eyes widened, and he replied, "Yes, Grandma gave it to me. It's my favorite sweater."
jaya nodded, then picked up a pair of shoes. "What about these shoes, Sanju?"
Ronit gave them to me for my birthday," Sanju replied, clutching them tightly.
jaya smiled softly. "And what about these trousers?"
"Those are from Daddy. He got them for me when he went to Delhi," Sanju answered, still holding onto them.
Sanju stared at the clothes, clearly unsure. "Why do you want to give my things to others, Mummy? I like them, and I still want to keep them."
jaya looked at him gently. "Sanju, you won't be using these things anymore because you've grown out of them. Be generous and give it to a needy person.. It will make them happy."
Sanju thought about it for a moment and then smiled. "Yes, Mummy! That would be great! I can share my things to make someone else happy."
And so, Sanju learned that sharing with others, even the things you love, spreads happiness and kindness.
