I had the Tracker FG from Vivobarefoot. The soles started to delaminate from the shoe after my first walk and sent them back real soon ($250!). I bought the Belenka 'Winter 2.0 Neo and never looked back. Great quality, good fit, comfortable and quite a bit cheaper. As You said the soles are very grippy.

I agree! When you spend that kind of money, you should really be happy with the product. I'm glad you found the right fit for you!

Great review. I've been looking at this brand and wanted to see someone show the tread on the shoe more. I may have to pick up a pair of the rangers now.

Thanks Bernard! I'm glad you found this helpful and I hope you did end up snagging a pair!

Appreciate the review! A lot. But, Bro... Don't knock the Belenkas for being too wide. That's not a detriment of the shoe, that's a detriment of our --societal-- perception (indoctrination that narrow, pointy shoes look good -- they don't actually). Looking like clown shoes isn't a negative. They're healthier, more comfortable, more practical, and Oobjectively attractive looking (where attractive = practical & healthy). The reason Vivos don't look like clown shoes is because Vivos are very NARROW barefoot shoes (as are Groundies, Feelgrounds, Xero, Altra, Lems [except Primal]). I won't even touch the aforementioned, as I appreciate comfort and not deforming my feet. Some really good barefoot/foot-shaped shoe brands are: Belenka, Ahinsa, Vibram FiveFingers, Freet, Topo

No, you’re totally right! It’s kind of weird because I’ve been favoring the Be Lenka shoes more now because my feet are spreading out after being in them a lot and now the Vivo’s are starting to feel restrictive. Also, thanks for the recommendations, I’ll check out some of the brands you mentioned!

Totally agree, I love the quality and design of vivo (especially the ESC boots) but I’m finding my outer toes to hit the ends while I have 20+mm of space in front of my big toe. I didn’t notice it much at first due to my feet being deformed by normal shoes, but it’s become much more obvious as I’ve worn correcttoes more frequently. I have come to just despise vivo shoe shape. Will probably order a pair of the belenka soon.

@@tylerwright7677 We foot-shaped shoe enthusiasts appreciate the review! (And the update!) My journey has led me into FiveFingers and Belenka and there's no going back from the comfort of not having my toes smashed. 😆
@cw4623 Жыл бұрын
@@Keillan5480 It's crazy, right?!? You don't realize how restricting and uncomfortable traditional narrow shoes are until you give foot-shaped shoes a try. I started by accident with a wider Nike running shoe (old Dual Fusion X2 in wide) and from there went to Vivo, then Freets, then to FiveFingers. Each iteration opens your eyes, as it's progressively wider, more comfortable and practical. And then you get to FiveFinger/Belenka width and there's just no going back.

Great review! I have been looking into both of these models and literally just bought the Scott III yesterday! The Vivo Magna and Tracker ESC series have a Michelin rubber outsole, I just sent the magna's back as they were causing my toe some significant pain, but I have to say that rubber was something truly special. I guess I will be using the primus knit FG for snow/ice with a thermal insole and the scotts for dry cold for this winter and see how I fare!

I would really love for Vivo to do a full partner with Michelin and have access to better compounds for their less aggressive tread patterns!

Tyler, thanks for the review. Sizing question, which I'm surprised many reviewers skip: Same size in Be Lenka vs Vivo, I'm guessing? Brands can vary wildly sometimes.
@tylerwright7677 Жыл бұрын
Hey Wayne, I apologize, I'm just now seeing this! I wear a 43 in the scott III and a 44 in the Nevada's. Its a small difference but I also feel like I could have gotten away with the same exact size in each and still been comfortable!

@@tylerwright7677 I got the Nevadas in same size as my Vivos, but they are a bit too short 😢 Should have definitely sized up like you did

can i use them for summer insted of sneackers just for every day, no sport or smth?
@tylerwright7677 Жыл бұрын
I haven’t been able to test them in summer yet because it’s still winter here in the PNW but I can imagine that for shorter outings, they will stay comfortable. Longer lengths of time might get a bit sweaty.

Are those laces made by Stretchlace? Curious what length?
@tylerwright76772 жыл бұрын
Yes, they are “the original stretchlace” on Amazon. I believe I got the 55” laces.

Why are some people tripping about the way certain barefoot shoes look i.e. "like clown shoes" ..... ????? I guess they've they've never worn Birkenstoks before. SMH 🤦🏾♂️
