This was a great review Karey off the, be my eyes app. I have used it several times, mostly outside and wants to verify that I was not in the middle of a highway. My son-in-law has now become a volunteer and says “I need more calls!“ He has only had one call and he is very descriptive with his view from the camera lens. I have given him some tips like, it’s really important to know when describing stairs or steps, that the blind person needs to know if the steps are going up or down . Just something a sighted volunteer may never think about but is crucial for a blind person to know. Thanks for such a thorough review and I look forward to speaking with you soon! Love, Beverly

Hey Beverly! That's awesome! Tell him thank you for being one of those volunteers. Did you know that I realized that they now have over 4 million volunteers? I thought it was 2, but no, it's more than 4! Isn't that amazing?

Lovely review! I love using this app! I didn’t want to wake my family members up a couple of days ago and I needed to make sure that I had the right colored shirt so I called and got my problem solved in probably under a minute which was awesome!

It really is a great app. While I haven’t used it much at all, it’s one of those apps where it’s nice to have in an emergency situation.

Thanks Juan! That means a lot! You should try to use it sometime. The volunteers are great. :D But even if you don't, you're right, it's great to have that in the back pocket.

Hi there! Thanks for watching and for your comment. Sorry for the late reply! So glad it could be helpful. I was really surprised to see that one of the languages is tagalog. Have you gotten any volunteers that speak in Tagalog? It would be so interesting to know! Lots of love from US to Philippines.
@krismarieli70324 жыл бұрын
@@LiveAccessible hi yeah is actually since the pandemic started and everyone has been on a lockdown i'm only been getting filipino volunteers all the time usually i would get me the 1 out of 10 foreign volunteers but nowadays it's mostly filipinos it is quite interesting and it is really amazing how some people can give that time out of their lives to help somebody else how to watch more from using hugs and kisses from manila philippines

I am totally blind, and couldn't help but think of this question while listening to the video...do you think a person might be willing and able to guide you in mowing your lawn?! I'd love to be able to mow my own lawn. Too difficult to get the kids to do it.
@LiveAccessible4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! So sorry for the delayed reply. I would ask a volunteer! That might be an idea! It might be really tricky since it would be hard to hear them over the noise and they might not hear you over the noise, but maybe you could work with a volunteer on how to get it done!
@penelopeannecreighton26844 жыл бұрын
I was thinking headphones. The trick would be mounting the phone in such a way that you could be hands free and the helper would be able to see well. Thanks!

Hey, that's a great idea! Pablo keeps wanting to do the same or something similar when we finally get are home. :-) Best of luck!

How do I know If I have android or are all I ask or whatever that other is because I don’t know
@cartergamegeek2 жыл бұрын
The iPhone tends to be IOS while Android tends to be other smartphone makers. A lot of Android phones will normally say powered by Android somewhere on bootup or during restart. Or you might see a bigger Android logo. You often see it under the logo of the phone maker during that bootup screen. But a good rule of thumb is Apple does IOS so if your phone is not made by Apple it is more than likely Android.
