Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu joined politics in 2006. She rose to become the first woman to helm a ministry. In this episode, show presenter Tung Soo Hua meets her at a rooftop vegetable farm to understand the initiatives of her Ministry to increase the production of local produces. She also invites Soo Hua to her residence and for a jog one early morning.

Dear Minister Grace Fu,as a local born bred true blue SGP and patron of our local market or food center, regardless of government or non government managed, if I can request from you is to delayed or freeze the increase of any rental, regardless new or old lease, reason is very obvious and straightforward through the eye of our heart, foothold and human traffic has still not normalised yet in hawker and until today noone knows when there will be outbreak or detect case. It is still very unstable to guarantee 100% of patrons will come back in short time, one hand upfront government give rebate and on the behind the scene increase rental, do you think is just and fair according to majority of the hawker sales performance since pandemic till now. Now their livelihood is very unstable. By right, if we really are helping hawker to get back business, freeze rental or all form of increase till business is back to normal. Hawker recovery is faster and more stable than airport recovery as hawker depend on local foothold and yet airport has greater liquidity to survive or to buy time. Why not hawker? Why can't we truly help the hawker which is our heritage last 50 years to survive comfortably and recover from this pandemic. Thank you for your consideration.
