Dear Phap Dung, I am an 84 year old grandmother, who went to Plum Village on unforgettable retreats while Thay was still alive, for several years...and particularly remember how wonderful he was around children. I just remember you in person, at perhaps the first meeting of the Wake Up movement in Son Ha. Since then I have heard many of your teachings, and this morning watched and listened to that beautiful meditation and talk to those dear restless young American teens in the Teen Camp....(Good that you got out of your tent and had a better night's sleep.) I can't find words to express how much I feel you are giving those so needy young people, and loving and caring for them, as you do with the children! Would that all the youth of Los Angeles could come up and hike, get mud on their clothes, sit in wonder in nature....and follow your teaching ! Your ways are quite your OWN ways..... and that is so special...but they are at the same time so much that Thay would have wished...so much the Buddha would have wished. And your Father is so very proud of you !!!!!!! I wish I had been able to listen to you as a teen. But I am still learning at my age. And thank you for all your caring for the planet ! The meditator, warrior and artist in me are coming alive in me again, even if I have just had a hip replacement and can use my hands to draw again after another operation. Thank you ! If anyone was ever really In His Place, it is you !🙏❤🌏☘🍀🌿
