Although this is not a real BBC Radio One Essential Mix, it's still a very nice set. Well worth the listen, thank you!

You didn't,@@MatthewDauria, but the legendary Essential Mix is a show that's been running on BBC Radio One for almost 40 years, so it's a bit misleading to have named the set that way because everybody in the electronic music scene knows that an Essential Mix refers to a set that has appeared on that show.

I dont think BBC own the term haha Any set containing music from a singular artist should be called essential mix Your free to your opinions either way 😀

I'm afraid to say that they actually do own the term! 🤣 Following is a link to the UK Intellectual Property Office website where you can see that the BBC filed for ownership of the term "Essential Mix" on 17th June 2013, which was granted on 21st March 2014: trademarks.ipo.gov.uk/ipo-tmcase/page/Results/1/UK00003010320

We're all free to have our own opinions, but not our own facts. The fact is that an Essential Mix is a 2-hour DJ set that has appeared on BBC Radio One's Essential Mix, the same as a Super Bowl Halftime Show refers to a musical performance that has happened during an official NFL Super Bowl, and calling something else this way is fake and misleading. This is not my opinion, it is called REALITY.
