Title track single from Jarrod Lawson’s long awaited second album “Be The Change”. The former stonemason from Portland, Oregon, was described by London’s Evening Standard as “the blue eyed soul boy of jazz”, as he blazed a trail across European jazz festivals and jazz clubs, being voted Soul Artist of the Year by Jazz FM and runner-up for Album of the Year at DJ Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards.
This single, and six tracks on the new album, benefit from the presence of legendary Grammy-nominated percussionist Sammy Figueroa, now a member of Jarrod’s touring band, who has worked with countless major artists from Miles Davis and Quincy Jones to Chic and Carole King.
