This has got to be the realest filipino representation in a music video. The Philippines isnt just manila, jeepneys, balut, jollibee, festivals etc. There's something about the opening scene of running to the gate while lola is waiting, house surrounded by house plants, kids playing in the basketball court, big green fields where a single random cow in the background, tricycles and random family gatherings makes it genuinely heart warmingly filipino.

The representation is really giving! For non-Filipinos, the thing she does to her Lola at 0:04 is called “bless” or “pagmamano” it’s a sign of respect you do in the Philippines to your elders. It’s been done since the pre-colonial times before Spaniards arrived and is also done in nearby southeast asian countries, i.e. Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei.
