The big question here is: where do these trash bags go, to the landfill or to a recycling plant? My professor said keeping the environment clean requires collective efforts from the locals as well as government policies and planning. The plastic must be recycled, not dump in the landfill. Where you're cleaning up is just a small area where you swim and fish, but the whole Phú Quốc island and Vietnam are covered in plastic wastes because the mindset of Vietnamese people is still very "thiếu ý thức, thiếu tôn trọng môi trường". But thank you for your effort. Let's hope you and Dustin continue to do what you do and please do teach the locals to protect their environment.

Well done, Dustin, for highlighting the pollution problem. Visitors, Vietnamese or foreigners should take the trash with them and dispose it in a proper manner. What is nicer? A clean beach or one covered in trash? Be responsible, people, be proud of your country, KEEP IT CLEAN! The government should encourage the people to not pollute and teachers should educate their pupils about being environmentally friendly.

When it comes to sanitation, our people don't have a strong sense of community. Many would keep their personal space (home/car) spotless, but they would trash the neighbor or public place so willingly without any hesitation. That is extremely selfish and should be taught at a young age. I hope videos like this helps spread the message to keep our environment clean. Thank you Dustin!

💥The older generation of Vietnamese used to whizz on the street, let alone the trash. The newer generation has been more environmentalist and have been taking care of the country much better. We can thanks Dustin and people of similarities all day but the people over there needs to do their part too.💥 Dustin, you may not be giving out donations to the poor like Max or giving out banh chung like Phuc Map. What you are doing is equally or even more important because you are changing the mindset and educating the people over there. Animals don't poo in the area they live in, so why do humans trash their environment? The Vietnamese government needs to its part to send messages to protect and preserve the land/environment. Since you go to Hanoi to do those educational videos, maybe you can do one about trash/recycling?
