This song reminds me of the beatles. I think that's a big compliment for beach fossils. Great song!

Those drum fills are definitely ringo-ey. The guitar at 2:28 is also very beatle to my ears

This performance is fucking perfect. They should have done the trumpet in the studio version too.❤️

equipboard.com/pros/dustin-payseur/#effects-pedals If I had to guess, it'd be the Keeley Double Tracker (maybe the Boss DD-3 delay?), the Origin Cali76 compressor, and the Earthquaker White Light for dirt. Use the bridge pickup, the gain low, and the compression pretty high for the Lennon-esque tone used in the studio recording.

darthmon26 sounds like either a Vibrato Pedal with a really slow rate, or a detune effect, you can get the same sound with a BOSS Harmonist Pedal or something similar. Also sounds like he has a slight slap-back delay, like a tape echo with hardly any feedback on it

I don't know why but at first I thought Somersault was pretty cool. Now I find it kinda boring with the exception of a couple songs

Interesting. To me, it's starting to feel a little short. The first two songs become a little 'meh', the middle is really strong, then there is the "Down The Line", when I still want something, but I get the two ending songs. "Be Nothing", of course, is a masterpiece, but ahh.. and because of that craving, I have finally gotten myself into their/his self-titled debut.
