i want this indie era back.. took the train way too late, but in France these kind of musics had lot of pain to come to us. We were already in our hiphop/rap supremacy. I mean it's not a bad thing, but when i say "supremacy", clearly it was. Nothing else reached us in a popular way. Beach Fossils and DIIV are legends in indie rock scene in the US. But in France they are just bands than a random guy knows from his searches on youtube
