Saw you using an equinox in your channel. I currently have equinox 800 and saw this quest v80 and was amazed by its high frequencies. You think a quest v80 could be good secondary machine? And who you think is better on beach.

I have a soft spot for my Equinox, done a lot of detecting with it. I havent had near enough time on the V80 to really appreciate it yet. Both very capable machines

I wish I could afford a Quest machine. Not getting a cheap one with a lithium ion battery hidden inside though. They fail so it would become a paperweight.

They're all changeable. Usually they fail well after your warranty is over anyway so there's no issue replacing it yourself.
