You are doing a GREAT SERVICE to every beach goer when you discover and remove the fish hooks ! A safety issue for sure. Thanx!!!!

2 years late I know, but thanks for your videos. I don't always have beach weather here in Maine, your content itself is purely relaxing, and puts me to sleep when I'm finally done with my day. Always interesting to see what you find.

I have been watching your videos and just got started. I was able to find gear much cheaper like the shovel. I found an awesome stainless steel sand scoop for $70 and just need to get a broom handle for it. I got a mid priced detector for now. I found your videos very helpful and I live near the salt water in the Pacific Northwest. You find such great items and the rings are lovely! Very inspiring to others starting out!

Nice hunt Robert. Join the club, I still haven’t found a platinum ring, it’s on my bucket list. Although I did score my second piece of gold jewelry today, making it 2 pieces of gold in 2 weeks . A nice way to start out the new year. The cut down here is really good and I was finding nickels & dimes left & right. GL&HH 😎

Awesome ring finds Robert. That platinum diamond ring is out there waiting for you. Enjoy your vids. California seems like the place to be for beach detecting.

freezeinak California is a great place to hunt the beaches. The only problem is that the competition has been heating up over the past year. At any given time at our local Beaches, there are at least a dozen guys all hunting for the lost treasures. GL&HH

wygold's Metal Detecting Adventures - I guess too many detectors on the beach is not good, but if someone finds something nice it can be a big morale booster to everyone else.

Robert the one ring with the screws in it is a Cartier knock off if it's not gold... the Tiffany is cool. Congrats. GL&HH
@wygold6 жыл бұрын
TheSilversniffer I was thinking it was stainless steel too, but I could be wrong. Might be tungsten, but he said it wasn’t that heavy and the last tungsten ring I found weighed over 10 grams. So idk, hope to see you soon Ross. GL&HH 😎
@betuna755 жыл бұрын
Holly molly that ring that has the minus sign in a circle on outside is a knockoff in fact for a Cartier love ring you can look it up i was holding my breath when you found it that would of been couple of thousand $$$ had it been the real deal look it up as Cartier or love ring. Congrats its a super cool Hobby!

You have probably been asked this many times before, but why to you search down by the waters edge, rather than further up the beach where people are likely to sit and sunbathe, etc.?

Great hunt Robert ans some great finds! Running to your search area is dedication my friend! Five rings ain't bad, shame only two are any good and only one is silver but at least its a Tiffany. I found this on the net "Los Tres Portadores" is "The Keepers of the Rings". I think it might be something to do with Lord of the Rings? Sorry to hear about your brother, hope he's doing OK. ATB&HH. Deano.

Robert, just had a quick question. Say I find a gold ring of 10k to 18k. How do I get cash for them. Do you ever try and sell the ones you find. Are they only worth melt value if they don't have diamonds or precious stones. Just curious as to what you do. I know so many people that just keep them in their treasures box. I'd like to sell them if I find any to help pay for a nice Excalibur like you have. Tks much. Really enjoying your videos. Guess you're gonna have some rough surf. At least they are on the northern pacific coast like in Oregon. Huge waves.

paul cee oh no he’s not the only one. Even though he’s just a couple of hours north of me. there are dozens and dozens and I mean dozens of guys hunting the beaches all up and down the Southern California Coast. The competition is really big down here.

wygold's Metal Detecting Adventures the beaches look amazing. I was looking at the condition of the coins they looked as though they had been in the sand a while hense asking but thanks for the reply 😀👍

I just saw your "beach hunt and selling my gold" video where you explain that you try and sell your rings and gold jewelry at melt value or somewhere near. So, that answers my previous question about what you do with your stuff. What if the ring is a diamond ring. Can you possibly sell on Ebay or to a local jeweler. There really is a big markup on jewelry at the retail level isn't there. Tks for your vids.

Salting the beach? 40-50 penny's in 1 area? I saw a 10# box of buck shot down at Cabellas' teased the shit out of a good friend and detector buddy. The fish hooks I learned to smash the sharp hook end with a coin or chunk of trash. Will make a point to ruin your day in your goodie bag.
